The two of us walked into the restaurant at 6:30pm and were surprised to find we were the only patrons. That soon changed, and the restaurant was half full by the time we left an hour later.

Food-wise, the fare was reasonable, although the menu was quite confusing - having chosen the meat, we had difficulty finding the vegetables...until we found it listed under "minced meat ball"!!!

We ordered five dishes for hot pot, but one was "forgotten" so we had to remind them after half an hour.

The American beef was wonderful; the best surprise was the dumplings - absolutely delish!
Two dishes of veggies and a plate of oysters rounded out the meal.
As we were cooking our food, it hit us - how come we get only one pair of chopsticks? Should we be given one to pick up the raw food with, and another for consuming the cooked product?

Service was generally attentive, but then again it was because we were the only table for a while.

However, the wonderful meal was spoiled at the end when we were presented with the bill. First, silly us, we forgot to prepare for the "hidden" fee of the dish of condiments and seasonings we used. The bill then came to exactly $300. When I presented my VISA card, I was told that it could be used only with a minimum spending of $350. Hello? This is ILLEGAL - no merchant is allowed to set a minimum spending limit before accepting credit cards. But they stood firm so we paid in cash and left; an unhappy end to an otherwise enjoyable meal.
