The first time I came upon this restaurant was two years ago, the first time I had their udon I was absolutely blown away! It was the best udon I've ever tasted at the time. Since then, I tried other udon at other japanese restaurants as well as in the hunt of great udon in other countries (after trying the udon here, it made me passionate about eating udon!) but it was just not the same, two years after, I STILL THINK THIS IS THE BEST UDON PLACE EVER!
The best udon would be the beef soup noodle, made to perfection. The bowl is always served hot, the udon itself is nice and bouncy and chewy, the soup is just unexplainable, deeelicious! There are different grades of beef to pick from, I've tried all of em but personally, theres not much of a difference there.
The only thing I don't like about this restaurant is that its too small, always have to line up during dinner time >.<, but hey, I guess its well worth it for a great bowl of udon, right? The waiters there are polite, their always busy though, no one ever picks up for phone. If you want to make reservations, try to book as early as possible, last time when they actually picked up to recieve my call, they told me I had to wait one week in advance for a table, yiks!!
