I had Pork Cutlet Sandwich, Honey Ice-cream on toast, and Cinnamon Apple Toast. I also tried their daily special Curry Pork Cutlet Rice. Yum yum~!! They only serve it on Tues. SURPRISE~! It's as good as the Pork Cutlet I had in Maisen (まい泉) in Tokyo! The curry is mildly hot - just the right level to bring out the fragrance of the Japanese curry, yet not too much as to kill your taste buds. The pork cutlet is juicy and freshly fried just like the one in their sandwich. The pork cutlet is of high quality, not like the thin local ones you get from 新景園.
The cafe was towards their closing time when I finished my dinner there tonight. I saw the big packets of white blocks stacking up in individual translucent bags on the counters. Out of curiosity, I asked the waiter what those were. Apparently those were the freshly flown in bread dough that their factory in Japan made! They flown in fresh dough once or twice every day, depending on the number of orders they received. The fermentation and kneading and baking are then all done here in the cafe.
