My friend's bday celebration dinner on Friday, and we were looking for a place with variety where we can stay and enjoy the evening. She insisted on buffet, so we thought that this would be a good choice in CWB area. Afterall, we work at CWB and can squeeze in a shopping spree b4 dinner.
We made a reservation for 7:30pm, and quite surprised by the "Happy Birthday" remark from the girl in the front. I told them that this would be a bday dinner, but never expected that they would remember!
Some highlights of the food:
Oysters I found it a bit on the salty side, but bday girl enjoyed it. I guess it's all about personal preference. Already better than a lot of hotels, as they were fresh ~
Crab legs They were lonnnnnnggggggggggggggg Yummy
Beef They had a number of choices that night, personal fav is the Japanese beef, off course. Bday girl said the ones on the stewers are a bit overcooked, so would prefer the grilled ones.
Sashimi Sweet shrimp looked nice, but had not been entirely defrosted yet. Scallops were sweet, and so was the white fish.
Desserts I wanted to buy a tiramisu from Cova, but bday girl stopped me and said "why do we need to bring food to a buffet??". Very true! The desserts were excellent, and there were many choices. Can't name them all, so just a remark.... don't miss out on the little cups at the back!! They look plain, but the lychee aloe vera jelly is definitely worth a try!
