With my GF clinging onto me tightly upon entering the doorsteps of this enigmatic building, I can feel the bustling prosperity with the people walking in and out, dragging along bags of belongings, of a diverse background. As suggested by our friend we had chosen this restaurant to be the kickoff of our Chung King Mansion Curry tour. As suggested by our friend we had chosen this restaurant to be the kickoff of our Chung King Mansion Curry tour. We were immediately led by a "guide" who handed us the VIP card granting 10% off even before entering the building!
Block b is deeper into the seemingly endless abyss of shops.
The elevator took ages.
upon arrival, we found the environment tidy and well lit. Light Indian music was playing. there was a strange Indian incense smell, which got my nose running. It went away in a short while. According to the 2 customers sitting next to us, they were burning some just before we entered.
We order set meal for 2 for $180, cos covered what we wanted.
2 soups, with bbq chicken, rogan josh (mild dark curry with lamb) and fish masala (brighter yellowish curry but not hot), and 2 pieces of naan.
The soups were of no surprise though; the chicken was ok. 2 curries went well with the nan. We had chosen the special nan with nuts, and an onion nan, which were very fresh, hot and excellent. But the curry dishes were not hot enough despite my plea for "medium". Perhaps, they assumed medium on a chinese scale.
the mango drink was recommended.
