My aunt came from Hawaii, and she do like thai food.
Though I'd went to this restaurant in Sept., but it's a liable one.
So we booked a table for 7 with other family members before she left.
For they don't like too spicy food, we didn't order the "don yam kung".
We ordered:
mango juice
, fresh lime soda, fresh pineapple juice
pomelo salad - my favorite dish
fried shrimp cake
curry clam in bread - don't forget to ask for seperate bread & sauce, the bread was very crispy
naan - eat with the curry clam
grill squid
grill fish (thai syle) in whole - it's juicy and nice
grill pork tenderion - but we just only ordered one pc, must hv more next time
deep fried beef in dices - it's crispy but a bit hard
fried rice in buckle - my aunt do like eating rice, and it's also my favorite dish
panang shrimp
fried baby cabbage
fried morning glory - it's very spicy but delicious
don't forget to leave some space for desset:
agar, layer cake, mango wtih sticky rice in black & white, red-bean cake
The overall food is good, so we ate too much and feel much full
Must come again.

Family gathering: Mid-autumn festival dinner in Thai restaurant.
Booking a Chinese festival dining in Thai restaurant is a quite good idea, not too much people.
We ordered many kinds of food:
Pomelo salad - 1 normal order, 1 without spring onion but with a bit salty.
Shrimp cake - crispy & taste good
Grilled fish - very juicy.
Grilled squid - fresh & juicy in taste.
Grilled pork - very juicy
grilled steak in slice stick with vegetable - steak taste good but a bit overcooked.
Grilled beef, chicken & meat in stick - taste good with nice sauce
Deep fried pig knuckle (special dishes) - crispy, juicy & with 2 great sauce (soy sauce much better)
Deep fried oyster omelet (special dishes) - taste good (better with Thai chili sauce)
Curry clam in bread - seperate bread & curry sauce was requested, bread was very crispy (we add one more order) and the curry sauce was nice too.
Fried baby cabbage - taste is really good but the out-looking is not attractive.
Fried Morning Glory - taste good but really spicy, but I do like spicy.
Fried rice in Bucket - with some black tiny sweet vegetable, shrimp, taste good
Dessert:
Agar - taste fresh, I do love it.
layer cake - sticky layer can be separated and taste good.
Thai sweet potato - with coconut sauce, special with taste like chinese sweet potato.
Sticky rice with mango - taste good.
Though I'm not favorite in Thai food and this is not my first time to visit this restaurant,
but the overall taste is very good tonight.

Initially I had hesitation in trying this place out as it seemed a bit "hongkified", with way too many people posting up reviews. It wasn't my typical hole-in-wall joint where the thai lady who runs the place has her whole family helping out. But since I had to organise dinner for 16 people, this was the easiest option. My second hesitation was sitting outside when it's still sweltering hot in summer, but I was surprised to find that they had some a/c going on in the covered deck outside, with fans going on full blast and canopies set up in case there is the occasional shower. Clearly they've got it all worked out.
Almost half our group were vegetarians/Hindu, so pork and beef were not major features (though I still managed to sneak a beef curry into it for those we love meat).
We ordered the usual stuff like appetiser platter, chicken laab, stir fried vegetables, papaya salad massaman curry beef, green curry chicken, pad thai, vegetarian flat noodles and rice, and the signature dishes like the golden pillow, pumpkin seafood rice and deep-fried stuff chicken wings. I have to say, most of the items were pretty tasty, and quite authentic too. The pad thai and beef curry were particular standouts. The only disappointments were the sausage salad in the appetiser (way too salty), the golden pillow (soggy bread, bland curry), and the naan was too thin and oily to be of any use in soaking up curry sauce.
We also ordered various non-alcoholic drinks and a few singha beer. And no we didn't manage to fit in any dessert at all (I will come back to try the dozen or so kinds of pudding and the mango sticky rice).

I didn't visit Thai Simple for a year! But it is still with great food.
I ordered red chicken curry, which I love it as it has strong coconut oil.
And the curry clam is delicious too.
The rice is amazing.
However I love the outdoor area very much; but people are like seeing outdoor = smoking area. I am not a smoker and I do not enjoy outdoor with stinky smoke at all!
I think Simple Thai has to do something about it~

Cannot remember when we went, but i just remember the food being lovely and the service being amazing. Waiter even remembered the brief passing comment i made about being a vegetarian and came over yelling as i was about to eat something saying "NO ITS GOT PORK IN IT" which wasn't specified on the menu. roof garden was lovely as well.
