I always enjoy having lunch here as the lunch sets are of very reasonable prices and of high quality. Even though the competitions in CWB are very high and there are special lunch sets offering in many Japanese restaurants in CWB, but i think here offer the best deal. For the $ you are paying, you will get a freshness guarantee. The sets are in average about $120-150. I am particular picky when having Japanese food, especially with sashimi and sushi.

However, this place is great for lunch but when I look at the a la carte menu for dinner, it is comparatively more expensive. Therefore, if you want to try out this restaurant, come at lunch time is better.

I think this is one of the first high quality burgers emerged Hong Kong few years ago and as of today the standard still remain as high as its first presence. I have been a big fan of "White Spot" since young back in the days in Canada.

The "Triple O" sauce is as good as the one I used to have.

The Blueberry Milkshake is another favourite. It's smooth and rich. Once you try it, you'll fall in love with it.

The only products I do not quite like is "Chicken Strip". They are sometimes too overcooked even though the meat is still very tender inside but outside is too burnt.

New discovery!!!!!!!! Finally, there's a high quality Japanese restaurant in 西環.
The food here is of very high standard and taste fresh. This small cozy restaurant is modernly designed. They offer robatayaki, sashimi, and a good selection of Hot Japanese food.
The robatayaki are not dry at all. The chef didn't use lots of sauce, which is good as we can taste the genuine taste of the ingredients. As I found many robatayaki in Hong Kong like the expensive Roka is using "gimmicky" sauce to mask up the unfreshness of the ingredients used. I believe that the chef must be very confident in the food quality therefore they use only simple seasoning to bring out the freshness taste of the food.
The sashimi here are wonderful too. They only serve the freshest catch of the day and you can find a good selection of special fishes here.
For the high quality of food offer here, the prices are not expensive at all. I highly recommend:
Robatayaki Foie Gras: only $98 It is like double the portion that serve in other similar restaurant
Beef Tataki: $88. Very yummy!!! Can’t have the same good quality elsewhere
Assorted Sashimi: Very unique selection. Super fresh!

The food served is quite similar to 真串 but here they a have wider selections. However, the taste of the food are rather strong which overpower the fresh taste of the ingredients. After eating several dishes made me very thirsty already.
The resturant atmosphere is not too good. The seats are crowded. For the $ they charge, I would expect a more comfortable eating environment.

I heard so many exciting and good things about this restuarant previously. Yet, it is totally below my expectations after I tried.

First of all, for the prices that they charge are not value for the money. My friends and I were expecting something more sublime and innovative given that Roka is marketed as a "contemporary robatayaki resturant" However, they use different heavy sauces to mask up the taste of the food. Maybe the ingredients aren't too fresh, therefore they rely on the sauces to cover up the taste.

Also, the services are not good. We have to ask the waitress many timesb efore she came to changed the plates and took the finished ones away.
