Had lunch at this restaurant upon the recommendation from a friend. In a nut shell, the food was ok, save for the bug in my salad...

Both My friend and I ordered the set lunch:

Mushroom soup - wasn't bad, nothing out of the ordinary

Burger - (friend's main dish) burger was fine, but the sauce for the fries was...funky

Lasagna - the lasagna itself was quite juicy and the beef was well marinated, but there was a bug in the salad, which is totally unacceptable

To be honest, even though I was given a replacement dish, I had lost my appetite as soon as I saw the bug. Let's just say that I won't be coming back. Period.

I have always wanted to pay a visit to this restaurant ever since my boyfriend told me its ramen is pretty decent, and he turns out to be right!

Our orders:

長崎拉麵 - quality soup, loads of vegetables and seafood

秘製拉麵 - quality soup, awesome pork!

青椒麵豉青瓜 - authentic and really delicious miso with crunchy cucumber

雞柳蔥串燒 and 雞絞肉串燒 - both above par

With decent service (most of the waiters and waitresses speak Japanese) and authentic food, Ippei-An has surely become one of my favorite ramen restaurants!

This has got to be one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants I have been to in Hong Kong.

As soon as the five of us set down, the waitress recommended the sake of the month. We were planning to get sake anyway and so we decided to take her recommendation. I am no expert when it comes to sake, but I thought it was not bad.

We then ordered numerous 串燒 and a whole lot of other dishes:

雞軟骨, 雞件+蔥, 牛脷, 帶子, 冬菇, 煙肉鵪鶉蛋 (and some others I have forgotten lol...) - all of these are really tasty

明太子燒玉子 - without a doubt my favorite dish of the night

Sukiyaki - all of the ingredients were fresh and of good quality

芝士和牛漢堡 - a bit pricey ($120) but definitely worth trying; my other favorite of the night!

炸雞件 - the chicken was really juicy and well marinated

I will definitely go back for more authentic Japanese food!

Udon has always been my favorite noodle, and the udon at this restaurant is truly up to my high standard! (Even my boyfriend, who isn't a huge fan of udon, thought it's good!)

Our orders:

一口雞芝士撈手打烏冬 - the juiciness of the chicken took me by surprise and the amount of cheese for the bowl of udon was just right; highly recommended!

秘製雞柳蕃茄湯手打烏冬 - decent soup with well marinated chicken

雞軟骨串燒 and 糖心蛋 - not bad, but nothing special

It was unfortunate that we didn't get to try the restaurant's signature dish, 豬骨濃湯烏冬, as it has been sold out. Nevertheless, the food was satisfying and I will definitely go back for more!

This is without a doubt my favorite frozen yogurt store!

The daily special flavors always bring me back whenever I have a chance to stop by, while the original flavor is already enough for me to keep on going back.

The staff was really friendly and helpful; you seldom see this kind of service in Hong Kong nowadays...

The only downside is the limited seats available in the relatively tiny store.

Highly recommended!

I have always been drawn to this restaurant by its atmosphere and the food has maintained its standard throughout these years. Its new American menu for July certainly served as the perfect excuse for another visit.

Hand-cut Fries with Cheddar Cheese and Gravy - the fries were actually grilled with good quality cheese on top

Mac & Cheese with half a Boston Lobster - lobster was pretty fresh and well seasoned, cheese was awesome!

Angus Burger with Onion Rings - burger was a bit salty...

Didn't order the mushroom soup this time around, but I would highly recommend it!

For some reason, I never got around to write something about this restaurant, even though I have been a fan for quite some years now.

焗白汁雞扒闊麵 - My usual order whenever I have a meal there; it never fails! Highly recommended!

海鮮炒麵 - Boyfriend's order off the lunch menu. Much better than any other 海鮮炒麵 in local restaurants.

蒸餾咖啡 - My favorite coffee of all time!

The restaurant has just been renovated, but the service and food maintained their high standard! I am highly recommending this place also because of its great variety of food to choose from. It also has several combo options to choose from with your choice of main dish.
- $18 for coffee / tea
- $18 for ice cream
- $38 for soup, ice cream and coffee / tea. (Its borsch = highly recommended as well!)

I have never had any bad experience with it throughout all these years; and I am sure it will continue its great service for years to come.

Was attracted by its name when I first realized it was there. Went there for lunch today mostly due to its location.

Arrived at around 12:30, and it was mostly occupied. Not sure if it was a good idea to have two huge, rectangular tables in the middle of the restaurant; took up too much space when people mostly ate in pairs / fours. There was actually a queue when we left.

豚軟骨拉麵 - sub-par soup, otherwise nothing special
海鮮拉麵 - friend's order, nothing special
大根餃子 - the only good dish, freshly deep fried, worth a try

Given that I am all about the soup when it comes to ramen, it is unlikely for me to go back.

Saw the elaborate article on this shop in a magazine and thought I would give it a try. There was a line outside the shop, and I thought to myself, it shouldn't be too bad.

I was wrong.

- The waitresses were clearly amateur, bumping into each other and missing orders.
- It took the cook 20 minutes to prepare our food.
- The supposedly "famous" 酸辣豬扒米線 was nothing special! The pork chop was not properly marinated; not tasty at all. The soup was spicy, but it wasn't the least bit fragrant.
- The 韮菜餃 was alright, but not spectacular.

Will not be back, definitely.

Had lunch here upon the suggestion of one of my friends. Seriously disappointing food and service.

- Half of the things we order were out of stock
- Service was poor and inefficient
- None of the dishes were impressive
- None of the dishes were fresh

I definitely would not recommend this restaurant; it was a serious waste of my money.
