I often come to this bakery because it is the nearest old style bakery near my place. They frequently have just baked items, especially around 3 pm!! My favourites include their custard bun, Japanese style tunafish bun, and of course the obligatory pineapple bun!

Today I went there at 2:45 and caught a tray of hot custard buns just out of the oven! Yum yum~ The sweetness is just right, and the doughy exterior was chewy, not dry, and the perfect complement to the creamy custard. What can't be beat is their price.

Although they are not high class, the service is excellent. The lady at the cashier always has a smile on her face. This afternoon, when I went there, she was chatting with an old man, a frequent customer. When he walked in, the lady immediately knew what the man wanted and directed him to the tray of fresh, hot, pineapple buns! It brought a warm smile to the man's face.

Their eggtarts are of the flaky crust style...also very good! Visit them at 3 pm, you won't be disappointed!
