I have to thank “You” for taking me there.

So excited that night, I have been longing for having a STONEGRILL experience there.

I have already planned to try these two appetizers according to different reviews in Openrice, would like to thanks everyone first!

1)Fried foie gras in apple sauce: foie gras is just well-done, but quality of foie gras are not really perfect. Anyway, sauce is good accompany of foie gras. And I have long not eating foie gras, so I am very happy!

2)baked parma ham with cheese and veggie on huge forest mushroom: a very good start of the night. Size is really big, I think can be main dish for ladies. Veggie is fresh, but I can’t really taste cheese. Quality of parma ham could be better coz that was a bit over-chewy.

3)Canadian Sirloin 10 oz. it is served raw and they also provided me the 400C Stone. Meat is good, complimentary side dishes are some beans and half potatoes which is so-so.

4)Australia lobster tail. They serve the whole lobster tail with a very good sauce ( lobster sauce?) but that was a bit expensive coz this single main costed $5xx. Thank “You” becoz u know I want to eat lobster so much!!

Almost forgot to mention their soup, every main came with daily soup and salad. That’s mushroom soup of the day and it was really very “MUSHROOM”. Value added!

I hadn't ordered any desert coz the desert menu didn’t catch me.

I was a usual customers of 板前, but recently antagonised by their rude service and long waiting queues, I started to dine here.

Their rolls are quite good, especially scallop roll and soft crab roll.

Fung's eel is also nice if they heat it fully.

Deep fry oysters are good of value, $35 two pieces of fatty oysters.

Others are generally fresh and tasty. I will never go back to 板前if necessary.

That was 01/10/07, thought no much thoughts about hk/mainland china, but still we got fireworks on that night.

Rang the restaurant and asked whether I could have a seat which was able to watch firework, they said they would do there best, but no gaurantee, well, I guessed the answer was about "yes" so booked a table at 8pm.

Cajun shrimps was good, the sauce was spicy but shrimps were a bit too small I guess. Garlic bread was excellent! It was the best garlic bread I have ever tried.

Baked seafood with cream cheese sauce was good as well. But again, not very outstanding.

We have ordered mango sparkler, that was quite good to me, very refreshing. And ordered a chocolate desert ( sorry forgot the name of that), very sweet, I think that was fair.

Service was very good. They were all helpful and friendly. For food, I like Hardrock/ Ruby Tuesday more. But definitely a good restaurant for nice view/ a date!!

Tried Green tea X Mango, $28 quite a good price.
Mango is refreshing and taste really mango!!
green tea is good too, not as milky as Hagendaze.

Waiters are very nice and helpful, you can try every kind of flavous before you decide which one to buy.

Environment is also good. There are some bar chairs and two little tables. Light Italian music, great!!

must try pistachio next time, seems nice!!

Casual Family Dinner Smile Aug 04, 2008

My family have joined their membership $900 per year which offers us half price per visit! so quite worthwhile if you will go often.
Have tried more than 70% of the dish in their menu.
I would say the followings are good to try:-
1) Ribs—quality varies abit. But generally good, a bit too salty to me. Recently I have tried Tony Roma’s and their ribs seems even better than ruby’s.
2) Appetizer ( assorted platter—I forgot the exact name)—Deep fry shrimp, spicy chicken wings, baked potato skin are the best
4) Prawn pasta—very tasty with a lot of cheese. But you will feel very stuffed after that…if you like spaghetti, I would recommend you to try theirs coz their spaghetti is very different from anywhere else, very chewy!!!
5) Sirloin Steak---I have tried that dry aged steak in their menu ( the most expensive one) but that disappointed me. So tried this, tender and taste very BEEF! I like!
6) don't forget crab cake! there are two big pieces of crab cake. Fresh to try.
7) Chocolate Tallcake—really a good size of desert, table of 4 could share one and it brings the highlight of the night!!

To Ruby Tuesday Member: I received email that they offer $450 extension of membership during 2008 Olympic games!!!
p.s. I have tried newly opened causeway bay’s Ruby but that was really disappointing. Food was little, service was slow and bad, table are so packed…I don’t feel in an American restaurant at all.
