Aussie Chicken  Smile Mar 17, 2013

We went to Flames Charcoal Chicken with a group of 8 people on Saturday. It was a very nice day for outdoor seating.

There were two types of chickens to choose from, one marinated with mix herbs with stuffings and the other one was a spicy chicken portuguese style. Both of them came with their own sauce, a gravy and peri peri sauce.

With the chickens we ordered salads, chips and garlic bread to share. For the salads, we ordered a casar salad, pesto penne pasta and roast pumpkin baby spinach.

The chickens was nice and hot when we got it and it was very juicy with a touch of charcoal flavour. My favourite salad was the roast pumpkin, it had a very nice vinger dressing on it. Must try is the chips!!! Chicken salt chips, reminded me so much of sydney!!!

The overall experience was very nice, food was great, loved the outdoor seatings~

Family Restaurant Just OK Jun 26, 2012

We went to Dan Ryan's for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with a pram. The restaurant is clearly very family orientated with a lot of children, so if you don't like noise, don't go~ tongue

Since we were not too hungry, we ordered a clam chowder and a philly cheese sandwich to share.

Once we sat down, a glass of water and bread was offered. The bread basket consists of two slices of baguette, two chocolate muffins and a dark roll of some sort (didn't ended up eating it). The bread itself was filling enough for us, it is def good if you have children and want to occupy them...

The clam chowder came inside a round roll, the soup itself was really nice, but the bread was stale so it was a bit of a waste...

The philly cheese sandwich came in a hot dog bun, not sure if this is authentic but I personally didn't like it. The meat was also a bit tasteless and the cheese wasn't really nice either... The only nice thing about it was the chips, freshly cut and crispy...

The lunch was really average, but might go back to try burgers instead...

We went to Angus for a late lunch on Friday 22nd June, arriving at 5pm and the restaurant was empty. The decor was nice and the service was good.

We ordered half a serving of white wine mussels which came with garlic bread and a mixed mushroom pizza for two.

The mussels were very fresh and nice but the sauce was rather salty. The garlic bread that came with the mussels was nice and crispy.

The mixed mushroom pizza had a very thin crust, for someone like me, I loved the crust!

Overall, I would go back to try other things on the menu.
