Meet up with my good friend at this restaurant at 7:15pm. She finds this restaurant on openrice and ask if I want to try. Sure! I like to try out new restaurant.

The place is nicely designed, the big lamp in the middle of the ceiling catch my eyes as I have got one similar at home but of cause in a much smaller size. Good choice.

French Fine de Claire Oyster * 3 – I have 2 and she has 1, can taste the flavor of sea water, the after taste stay in your month/tongue for few minutes, This type of oyster is always one of my flavorite and well they are fresh

Onion soup – very sweet onion flavor, right balance with the beef stock and the onion, come with a toast bread with cheese

Lobster bisque – not bad, no lobster meat though…(My friends says to me: what you expect with HKD48? The whole lobster meat)

Foie gras – a bit burn outside but still yummy, the foie gras paste very smooth

Chicken wing – the sauce is quite special, sour, sweet…

Lasagna – tomato sauce with meat, cheese, and vegetables in between layers

Slow cook sea bass in milk – I am not a big lover for any cooked fish but this dish is not bad, the fish is very soft as it is slow cooked, come in a milky soup with some chopped tomato and vegetable, a very different type of dish - recommend

Chocolate Lava with ice-cream – the sweetness is just right, as they use dark chocolate with the ice-cream – yummy

The dishes are ok and price is not that expensive but the dishes variety not as many on the menu. But I was told that extra dishes will be added and they will change some dishes on monthly basis.

Supplementary Information:
It is a bit noisy at that night as there is a birthday celebration going on. It would be a nice, romatic feel restaurant on a normal day.

Good taste  Just OK Apr 23, 2012

Ok la

I really like Asian food, Thai, Malaysian, Indian etc so I had to come to this newly opened Malaysian restaurant.

Seated at the restaurant at nearly 7pm, there are quite a few customers around. Let check out the menu, a bit disappointed as most are single dish rice or noodles and not as many choices.

肉骨茶buk kut the – Not too strong herb taste which I like, soup in dark colour, the ribs not bad

Half 芽菜雞 – half chicken very tender, the chilli sauce come with it is actually quite spicy, a plate of beans sprout, crunchy.

串燒 * 3 – it surprise me as $10 each, but well we may just give it a try. The peanuts sauce are put on the串燒, not giving you as a dip, the peanuts sauce is quite thick, even though the taste of the 串燒 is good but look at the size of it, it is overpriced.

Prawn paste fried veggie – ok

客家 noodles – first time I have this noodles, the taste is quite special, the sauce on top has mushroom pieces, fried little prawn..

Lemon and barley drink – nice one. Barley is soft enough to chew.

Think I will come again to try other dishes.

Never again Cries Apr 19, 2012

We came to this restaurant as it was raining outside at lunch and we haven’t tried this before.

We went straight in without reservation at 12:10pm.

We ordered the Kinboshi Pork set and the Fried Prawn set with unlimited rice and cabbage salad.

Kinboshi Pork set – it looks ok, it was softer when it was still hot but after a while, the pork got quite hard.
Ok
Ok

Fried Prawn set – I have never came across this type of frying with the prawn head on, so I was pretty surprised when I saw the heads…. They looked like tiger prawn to me, the batter was way too much, the actual size of the prawn is quite thin and I must say the texture of the prawn is bad, the meat feel 霉. ….sad

The service is not good, we tried to order and they were always busy but never saw our hands. And yes, the place is a bit cramp.

Probably won’t come again.

One of the best RAMEN in HK Smile Apr 18, 2012

Finally I had this chance to try豚王 as I had this class at 7pm near LKF.
There was no queue at around 6pm, I was seated immediately at the corner.

There was this order form on the table which we ordered in the same way as 一籣ramen in Tokyo.

I ordered the 豚王,it served with the thin noodles which I like, the soup is in milky colour, very rich in favour, come with spring onion n黑木耳, the Char Siu is thinly sliced and very soft.

I really like the free side dish - the spicy bean sprouts.

Started to get a bit hot when started having the noodles, probably can’t visit again in the hot summer. This is one of the best ramen you can find in Hong Kong.

Really like to have a brunch so we book a table for 11:30am earlier on. When we get there we are surprised that there is no booking under my name, luckily we can just seat inside.
The restaurant is very woody, chairs, tables. You can even bring your dog to seat at the table on the open door area.
I always like All Day Breakfast for brunch but not serving at Classified. So I order an egg benedict with spinach. (so veggie)
It is served quickly and the egg is nicely poached, on top of the spinach, and muffin at the bottom with the Hollandaise sauce – sauce ok, not exceptional tasty.

We seat there until 1pm when more guests start to arrive.
Next time for brunch I will choose another place with my favorite All Day Breakfast.
