This was my first visit since covid, and it wasn’t a good one. We waited about 30mins for our table. They serve our starter and drinks shortly after order was placed.

We ordered soft drink and wine. The soft drink - more than half the glass was filled with ice! Since my kid doesn’t really take that much of icy drink, I asked waitress if can help to remove the ice. To my surprise, the waitress gave us an angry look, took a mug and a spoon from drawer, toss them on to our table and said:”I give you this cup, you take the ice out yourself.” Oh my, is this how you serve your customer?? And, when I took out all the ice into the mug, it is a mug-full of ice! And the soft drink is barely half glass!

Never mind, I was trying to calm down and started eating the starter. Just few minutes after we started eating, they serve us the mains. My kid was halfway taking butter for the bread, and the waitress just took it away from her! Wow! Do you ever train your floor staffs before sending them out serving tables??

Because we were still halfway into our starter, obviously there was no room on the table for mains. The waitress kept pushing around our plates on the table, trying to make space for the mains. And, the way she put our food on the table was so rough, making loud “cling clang” sound everywhere! I’ve never seen such terrible waitress!

As for the food, the food served was somehow warm, some parts of the food was cold. We can easily tell that these food were lying on the kitchen table for some time before being sent to us. The linguini we ordered, was cold and started to get harden because of the cold air cond. I can literally poke the fork into the linguini and lift the entire pile of linguini up with one fork! Taste was definitely not good at all.

All in all, food was no good, service was terrible, definitely not worth the wait and of course not worth the price! No second visit unless I really have no other options!

French toast: 2 星
bacon is cold, toasts was only slightly warm, suspect the dish had been lying on kitchen table for some time before it was served to us. The toasts are tasteless inside, suspect they did not soak in egg for long enough for the bread to absorb the egg.

Linguini - 1星
I’m a fan of handmade pasta. This linguini doesn’t taste like handmade at all. This dish was cold, the sauce already kind of “dried”, and the linguini is so hard. I didn’t finish this dish, it tasted awful.

I had been to other Pici. This was my first visit to Causeway Bay Pici, and the worst among all so far. I know they don’t take reservations, so to avoid the crowd, I reached there pretty early. There wasn’t queue yet but queue started building up behind me. To my surprise, I was told there’s a dining time limit of 75 minutes, this is what I’ve not encountered in any other Pici! After 30mins, the waitress came reminded us about the 75mins limit. But there isn’t any food served yet, not even bread and water. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The first food item was only served 45mins after we were seated, and only after I asked about our order. I was wondering if they are expecting their customers to gobble up all starters, mains, and desserts in 30mins??!! Like HK-style “char chan teng”??!! Why setting the time limit where your kitchen can’t serve equally fast? Or you are expecting your customer to just gobble everything up in less than 30 minutes? This is ridiculous and totally disappointing! Besides, the music was too loud and flies flying everywhere. In short, I had been dining at other Pici but this Pici is way below my expectation. Food quality was so-so, but not as good as other Pici especially Pici wanchai, which was my favorite.

This is the worst delivery experience that I've ever had with McDonald's! It took them 50 minutes to deliver!!!

We called and placed order for 2 sets of breakfast set at 8.05am in the morning. After waiting for 50 minutes, we decided to call back to the hotline and ask for the delivering outlet's information. We were told that it is Amoy Garden's outlet and they will inform the outlet manager to give us a call on the delivery status.

Our door bell rang at 9am and it was the delivery staff. And at the same time, the outlet manager called and asked if the delivery has arrived. We told him that the order just arrived. The manager just said good that we have receive our order and nothing else. I was so pissed and asked why is this happening and it is not the first time. The manager just simply apologize without explaining and said that they will take note (as usual but nothing changed). Not only that they didn't mention anything apple pie coupon (which they always emphasize for delayed delivery), but they attitude was simply unacceptable. The manager was indifferent to the matter and the attitute of the delivery staff was bad all the time.

I am not an early person, so missing the usual breakfast timing of the local restaurants or cafes is a norm to me.
Through friend's recommendation, we found out about this place which serves breakfast all day long - perfect place for us!
We went over to check out this place last saturday. It was pretty full when we got there, but lucky us, there was one empty table left and we got seated. We spent a few minutes checking out their menu and finally made our orders. We've ordered one Full English and one Biscuits & Gravy. This place looked a little like those American old diners with blueish-themed deco. The ceiling was pretty low and the tables were crowdedly arranged, which made the place quite noisy especially when there are lots of customers. The two of us were seated between a group of three and six people, our conversations were "interrupted" many times by the shouts and laughs from the two groups.

Back to the food.. Fruit juices which came with the breakfast set were served first. Like what were told in other reviews, they came in tiny glasses and could actually finish drinking it in one sip. The Full English which came with two eggs - we asked for over easy; tomatoes; two sausages; baked beans; a piece of bacon; some sliced mushrooms; and toast which we've got it changed to English muffins. Well, eggs are eggs and hard to get wrong for baked beans as it just needed to be tipped out from can and heated up before it's served. The sausages and bacon were fine, nothing fantastic to be mentioned.As for the Biscuit and Gravy, it came with biscuits with gravy (of course); eggs - asked for scrambled egg; sausage meat; and two sides - asked for baked beans and tomato soup. The scrambled egg and the tomato soup were just alright. But the biscuits were rather flavorless and the gravy was basically tasteless. The sausage meat (guess it is chicken) was dry and one of it had broken into pieces and they hide it under another piece. The whole dish was rather boring and tasteless that I actually ate most of it with lots of ketchup. Overall, this place wasn't a fantastic place for food and their service was neither good. The price was not really cheap even though it is slightly cheaper than Simplylife (but their food and service are good!). We used to go to Simplylife for breakfast and thought we've found a nearer and convenient place for breakfast, but this place was just not as good. Nonetheless, we would still keep our options open and keep this breakfast place in mind. Will probably try out other menu items but definitely not the Biscuits & Gravy.

Accidentally discovered this restaurant when we were shopping around Causeway Bay and we decided to check it out. There was one customer waiting when we reached there, and we got seated after waiting for about 5 minutes.
We've ordered one combo cutlet set which came with prawn, pork loin, pork tenderloin, and creamy crab croquette; and one curry cutlet set. Shredded cabbage was served first, together with some pickles. Both are bottomless! There were two dressings available for the shredded cabbage - sesame dressing and grapefruit vinegar dressing. I'm usually a fan of grapefruit vinegar dressing but decided to try their sesame dressing too. The sesame dressing wasn't very thick. Its mild sesame flavor, mixed with the grapefruit vinegar dressing, went very well with the shredded cabbages. The shredded cabbage was very fresh, like it a lot - and they help in balancing the "greasiness" from the deep fried cutlets. We were given a small bowl of black and white sesame for the combo cutlet set. By using a small wooded stick, these sesame was to be grinded till desired texture, and followed by adding in the special tonkatsu sauce. The sauce was thick and enhanced the aroma of the sesame - made a good combination.Minutes later, the mains were served with soup and rice. We were told that the soup was bottomless too! For the cutlet combo set, the coating was thin and crispy, but a little loose and fell off quite easily. The prawn was alright. The pork loin was alright but a little dry. The tenderloin was much better, juicier and much tender compared to the pork loin. As for the creamy crab croquette, it tasted alright but a little too "creamy". The curry cutlet set was pretty good. The tenderloin was juicy and tender, but same problem - the coating tends to fall apart from the cutlet. The curry was good too, can be considered as one of the good ones in town. The rice provided was a lot, can't finish them.

Overall, the food was good and its service was great too. Will come back to try out other menu items.

It was a cold evening and we wanted to have hotpot for dinner. We were trying our luck to see if they have tables because we didn't make any reservation in advance. Lucky us, the restaurant wasn't really full that day and we gotten a table without waiting.

Ordered for their signature broth (comes with some pork trotter, chicken feet, green veges, corn, tomatoes, etc in it) and some hotpot dishes to go with it:
-3 "combo balls" which consists of prawn balls, cuttlefish balls, and pork balls - good, nothing special to be mentioned;
- Fried and rolled bean curd skin - very good, love it. Crispy to be taken straight away, or can be dipped into the soup for 1-2 seconds to get a mixture of soft and crispy texture, ;
- Fresh prawns - very fresh, prawns were still moving (a little) when being served;
- Bean curd skin with fish paste - ok, nothing special to be mentioned;
- Pork stomach - ok, nothing special to be mentioned;
- Baby cabbages - ok, nothing special to be mentioned.Overall, the environment and service are much better compared to most hotpot places in Hong Kong - may be that is why the price is much more expensive? Food wise, pretty good, they emphasis on fresh and live seafood. We noticed that there were lots of photographs with Hong Kong celebrities pasted on the walls, not too sure if they are the regulars here..

All in all, good food, good service, pleasant environment, but pricey. HK$5xx for two person is almost twice the price for other local hotpot places. Do note that, we noticed a obvious "dry-mouth" feeling after the meal, so, people whom are MSG-sensitive would probably think twice before trying.

I always like Singaporean and Malaysian food, and prawn noodles is one of them.
Ordered a prawn noodles (asked for yellow noodles + vermicelli, as usual) with sliced meat + hard-boiled egg, and a noodles with thick soup, namely "Loh Mee".The prawn noodles are good - that's their specialty! It wasn't spicy to me even though it looked spicy. In fact, prawn noodles looks spicy but in fact it's not that spicy, and you can adjust the spiciness according to your preference by adding chilli paste to it. The meat and prawn slices are fresh too. This is not the best prawn noodles i've ever had, but it's the closest to authentic which I could find in Hong Kong so far. As for the noodles with thick soup/gravy - yellow noodles in broth thickened with corn starch and eggs, It was just alright. It wasn't really good if I would to compare it with those I had in Singapore or Malaysia, but again, this is the closest that I can find in Hong Kong so far.

Overall, feels a little uneasy having meals there as their shop is quite small and the seats are pretty crowded. The food is good especially the prawn noodles. I will think of this restaurant wheneven I crave for prawn noodles..

This was my second visit within a month. The restaurant was starting to fill up with people when we got there. By the time we get seated and ordered our food, all tables had been filled with customers.

Ordered nasi lemak (as usual ), curry laksa, kaya toast and soft-boiled egg set, iced coffee and milo dinosaur. The nasi lemak was good as expected, the rice has nice coconut scent, not too sticky or too hard, just nice. Initially, we thought that they've missed out the "sambal" - chilli paste which goes with nasi lemak, so we got them to get us some. Then, we noticed that they didn't serve the "sambal" for all other nasi lemak orders too. Not too sure what is the reason behind it, but this is definitely not right. Nasi lemak will not be a complete dish without "sambal". Hope they will improve after this.

As for the curry laksa, the soup was good, coconut milk added in it was just nice, its curry taste will be covered by coconut flavor if it is too much. It has very nice shrimp taste too. Everything was good except for the shrimp slices - wasn't really fresh, a little mushy. When I was trying to get them to change the vermicelli to yellow noodles (yellow noodles goes very well with curry laksa too), I was told that it is not possible even though they do serve yellow noodles in other menu items. I can understand that Singapore's style of curry laksa is using vermicelli, but it will be better if they allow customers to have options to change it to yellow noodles. The soft-boiled eggs this time round was good, not over-cooked. It was over-cooked the last time we had. Hope they can maintain a consistent standard on this. The kaya toast was alright but will be better if has slightly more butter in it.

Went to IKEA last weekend for some furniture shopping and wanted to have dinner before heading home. While walking around Windsor building, thinking what to have, we found this restaurant having quite a number of people queing for tables. We guessed that this restaurant should be a goos ones, so we decided to give it a try. After waiting for about 10-15 minutes, we finally get seated. We wanted to order "Xiao Long Bao" at first, but we noticed that there is no table ordering this dish. So, decided to give it a pass. Instead, we ordered Dandan Noodles with fried pork ribs, Sauteed Eggplant, and Beancurd Rolls (vegetarian).

The Dandan Noodles was the biggest disappointment we had, the noodles were probably overcooked - a little too soft, and it was not "chewy" at all. The soup was bland too, it did give some peanut scent/aroma but didn't taste any peanut flavor when eating. The fried pork ribs that comes with the noodles was a little "dry", not juicy at all. For the Beancurd Rolls (vegetarian) which has enoki mushroom in them, was so-so, crispy but no surprises. The only dish which we were quite satisfied with was the Sauteed Eggplant. The brown paste used to fried the eggplant and pork slices was tasty but it was a little too oily. By the time we finished the dish, the plate was covered with a layer of oil.

Overall, the food wasn't really bad, but I would say Crystal Jade is still our choice for Shanghainess food.

Wing Wah Noodles Shop again!! Need to find a place for late dinner and we were wondering what to have at 9.30pm.. Decided to go to Wing Wah again. Wanton noodles striked my mind at first but I've decided to try out their noodles with bean sauce (炸醬麵) this time. Knowing that their servings are relatively smaller compared to others, so we ordered a bowl of dumplings with soup to be shared.

The noodles with bean sauce didn't dissappoint me! The noodles are good as usual, the sauce (consists of mushroom slices, pork slices, etc) was nice too. Though you can see some chilli padi in the sauce but it is not that spicy. A little spicy makes the whole dish taste even better. The dumplings are not bad too. The meat and prawns inside are fresh. Bought their red bean soup back for supper later too. Haha..
