Still good! Smile Nov 07, 2007

I haven't been DAP for couple months. I found that there are some bad comments here. It was wonder if it's really that bad because my last visit was so satisfactory. So, I went there with my buddies to check it out last week.

Yes, the lighting was kinda dark but it doesn't bother us. I don't know why it seems we're more behave and "pretend" to be gentle under such lighting. Maybe that's why it made the environment still not that noisy even there were full house on that night. Generally the customers are nice, gentle and good looking (bcoz of lighting again?! hehe!).

Food still as good as before. Our favorite are still Angus beef, suckling pig and Foe Gras. I don't really like beef even at Ruths Chris. But the Angus beef at DAP is so tender, juicy and beefy, unlike those beef at King of steak king (tender but fake). Suckling pig is so crispy and tasteful. It's really worth to wait for 1/2 hour or so. Highly recommend!! Foe Gras is another designated order. Just $50 is really valuable. It's soft but not solid. Juicy but no too oily. The outside is crispy but not overcooked. I can guarantee it's really goose liver unlike some restaurants which use duck liver to cheat!

About the attitude of the servers, I don't see any problem with them. They're not too experienced but they're nice and attentive. Since the bread is so good, while we're waiting for the main dishes, we finished all of the bread. We feel embarrassed to ask for more. Meanwhile, the waiter seems like he can read our mind and approaches us to ask us if we want to have some more. So impressed!!

The only thing got point deducted is the ice cream in the chocolate dessert platter. It's a bit melted. Don't know why but it's no big deal to us because we're already so full and satisfied.

Double thumbs up!!!

Recently, my buddy has told me that there is a very good European restaurant in Jordon. I didn't have much expectation in the beginning. After last Saturday, I really think this is one of the best European restaurant in Hong Kong.

First of all, we try Foie-Gras. Outside is crispy and inside is so soft. It's like melting in your mouth. It's really 5 stars hotel standard!!
For main course, three of us ordered three different entrees which are Angus beef, cod fish and roast suckling pig. They're all exceptionally good and delicious.

The environment is warm, decoration is modern and classic. The servers are young but nice and with good manner esp. the manager. We've heard that they have a VIP room which is good for private party. You can drink and karaoke there till 2:00-3:00am. I must call up my friends to have dinner gathering and book the room for party to stay there all night long!!!

Spending per head: Approximately HKD200

Not as exciting as before when going there cos you can find them anywhere e.g. TST, Shatin, CWB, etc. And the food esp. durian pancake is not as fresh and good smelling as before (probably bcos it's mass production). Go there once a while is fine but don't have too much expectation.

The food is ok with a little high price with such food quality and ingredients. But it's really not just for food if you wanna go there. It has a good opened area with ice skating view. It's fun to watch someone skating in front of you when you eat and it's perfect to chat with friends there!!
