It is a clean and friendly desert place that serves more than deserts; this chain store started in Macau, I believe, many years ago.

We had their famous Steam Milk with Ginger Juice, along with egg sandwiches. The steam milk was smooth, light yet flavorful. The sandwiches were toasted, egg cooked just right, worth it for the bucks. I will definitely come back.

A popular eatery in Kowloon City; known for its beef buns. A recent evening, four of us ordered a dinner for 4, with the buns. The buns lived up to their big name, very juicy inside, not too oily on the outside even they were pan-fried both sides. The beef was tasty and cooked just right. Thanks to the waitress whom reminded us to eat the buns right-the-way before the juice was absorbed by the bun.

The other dishes in the set dinner were all tasty, since I don’t have much exposure to Islam food; all I can say is they all have their unique flavors.

Only complain is the place is too small, too crowded, 4 of us had to squeeze in a small table shared by 6 others. I can easily mix up our own dishes with the other parties. There was no extra room to put our belongings except on our lap while we were eating!

This was my second visit to this make to order buffet restaurant, 6 of us were able to sample many items on the menu, the quality of food were surprising good for a buffet restaurant with this price range. Service was cordially. It only took a few minutes for the food to arrive after ordering. However, the tables were a bit small, not much elbow room in between. Dinning room too crowded, and a bit noise for conversation.

For me, tasty food is more important than service and décor. I will definitely come back to this place.

On a recent Friday, 6 of us arrived at the No.1 Peking Road location. At 6pm, they were not busy yet; we’re able to sit at a table very close to the window, which offers an unrestricted view of HK side’s skyscrapers.

The restaurant serves Chao style Chinese, and I felt it has been modified to suit younger crowds. You may be disappointed if you want tradition Chao. Food qualities are acceptable for a chain restaurant. Price is reasonable, for its location. Service is prompt with no service charge added to our bill.

But, when it gets busy, the place could be loud and noise that is hard for conservations.

On a visit in March, our big party got a room for ourselves, great!

The soup in soup (a cold soup in a tomato nested in a bowl of hot soup) was very creative and tasted. Lamb Shank was tender and tasty. Their deserts were not too heavy on the sweat side. Lucky Pocket (desert) was so good.

I felt that the chef cook with his/her heart, the food come out alive! And the service was exceptional. Will come back when the menu changes.
