Once in awhile, it's nice to walk around Soho area for a relaxing lunch (not as crowded as LKF area). Their prices are quite competitive ..... everywhere it's around $100 .... so you just need to see which menu you like and walk into that particular restaurant. After a bit of walking ...... we ended up having pizza lunch.

The decor of this bar/cafe seems a bit too old ...... but it's still nice to look outside and see the people going up the escalator.

I must say that they USED to be very good ..... BUT NOT ANYMORE!!!!!

I've always known that their Viet noodles are good ...... but I rarely come cos I cannot have a perfect meal (they don't serve Viet coffee). Another bad thing about this food court concept is that there's no drink to come with the meal and you need to go to a separate station to buy drinks. This is super inconvenient and very stupid concept!!!!

Anyways, back to the 火車頭 ....The server asked if we would like to add a few bucks more to get it with Angus Beef, and I was a bit cheap and didn't ..... and luckily I didn't! Their taste being so bad now ...... it's the first time that I didn't want to finish my 火車頭!!!

Their portion size was huge! But once you start eating, you'll realize there's no taste to the noodle and its ingredients. This is very rare for Viet noodles, as the strong beef broth is supposed to bring all the taste to everything. But no ..... it's tasteless! And the beef meatballs .... it taste more like Chinese style instead of Viet style. You just don't want to finish the bowl ..... cos it's definitely not what you would expect .... very disappointed ..... will not return!!!!! They make it with no heart!!!! Have they change owner? Have they change management? What went wrong?????

This McCafe / McDonald are currently under renovation .... so not the most ideal place for a meal. Anyhow, craving for a cake and coffee to finish off the day ..... but was not too impressed.

From opening till now, this is always my favorite burger place in HK!!!! Although I won't say they are cheap .... but they have the yummiest burgers I've had so far (including outside of HK)!!!! Even Canadian friends that I've brought to this place, they were all impressed and couldn't believe the burgers were as good as I described! Highly recommended!

My favourites are:

Bak Goo (Juicy beef patty with mushrooms) .... must try!!!! - $ 49Cheeseburgers are just as yummy! - also $49 (you can pay $7 less for a regular burger, but then it tastes much better with the cheese)To build a combo (with fries and drink, then you need to add $18). But for our case, since I love poutine so much .... so we added $28 for a poutine combo. The poutine fries are comparable with the ones at New York Fries ...... so you can imagine how good they are!But please note that there is a bit of a waiting time for the burgers to cook (so don't come here in a rush!) ....... while you wait, there are also recent HK fashion and entertainment magazines to read.

Ever now and then I would visit this BBQ shop ...... and mainly cos it has one of my favorite (hard-to-find) food. 滷水鴨下巴!!!!
