im a big froyo fan.. walked pass this place on my way to the cinema.... had to give it a try!!
Ordered a cup of froyo with brownies, blueberries and mochi (free)CREAMY!! LOVE the chocolate brownies!! mochi was ok..... quite chewy! $32 for a big tub of froyo! I was satisfied!
its on the 2nd place of my froyo list now!

Heard this big name so many times and always wondered what was the fuss about. Finally went to the Causeway bay branch..
Had a hard time looking for the actual shop as it was hidden behind the lifts? ( dont remember, only remember it wasnt easy to find ! )

The shop was pretty small, it was empty too but guess It was nearly the closing time.

I love all sorts of tarts
from sweet fruit tarts to egg tarts, i adore all desserts that made out of pastry.
i would prefer the vanilla tart here than the strawberry tart though! IF only Paul Lafayet starts sellling fruit tarts... that would be heaven....
oh nearly forgot...
i believe I saw Paul Lafayet himself? im NOT toooooo sure... whilst me n my friend were enjoying the sweets , the baker came out of the kitchen and started introducing himself and the new (then ) dessert in English.. It was a chestnut cake... he asked whether we would like to try and to give him some opinions + a general chat , my friend did not like chestnut, she only had a tiny bit of it...

My second time to Paul Lafayet
Came here after a big meal of japanese meal, still came here coz I was only 1 min away from it hehe
three of us ordered:
Chocolate Dome, Rose Macaron, Creme brulee + Mille Feulle (again) ]

Rose macaron 6/10
personally not fond of macaron... i think they are just too sweet..
Chcolate Dome 7/10
blueberry centred chocolate mousse. 5/10 will not order this again

First time dining At Soho and a friend of mine took me there as a surprise... It was a bit of a long walk from the Central Station through many flights of stairs / escalators. Got there around 8pm and I was surprised It was fully booked.

Service was excellent from the start till the very end.
We ordered 2 three courses meals as follow :

Two glasses of champagne for the start


Starters :

Crabmeat with Asparagus
Smoked salmon Salad ( which I didnt take a photo of it )

My starter was just average I thought, When it came the presentation didnt attract me...
the smoked salmon salad wasnt all that neither, Its something I could easily make.

2 x French Onion SoupHonestly I didnt like this, It was just a bland soup with a flat french bread on top with a bit of cheese.


Cheese and Mushroom risotto with Black Truffle

I love risotto!! either creamy / cheesy or tomato risotto!
Had been craving for risotto for a good few months! Had to order this!!

Its presentaton indeed wowed me! LOOK AT THE BIG BRICK of cheese???!?!?
The waiter poured the ready cooked risotto into that big tub of cheese, started scraping the cheese with the spoon and mixing it together.
I couldnt stop looking at it... i already knew it would taste amazing! First time eating black truffle in my life, it wasnt bad at all.

My dish : Pan fried Foie gras + duck breasts the foie gras was delicious, the duck breasts was a bit chewy... but overall it was good.

Desserts:

I ordered the mango mille feuille , the waiter first said they were sold out I got disappointed, 2mins later he came back and said they had one more left.. I had a big smile on my face.. wouldnt say it was the best ive ever had.. it was acceptable. Creme Brulee

nothing special ~Overall It was a good romantic spot for couples and people to go on a dates.. gorgeous food, services was great!

Dont know the total of the bill, But as i remembered the three course meal was around $350+ 10% charge? Which is not expensive at all.

It was just a random dinner gathering with my friends. I picked this italian restaurant because of the positive reviews. Honestly,
i enjoyed every moment there, the romantic atmosphere, oversized dishes of food! gotta love the tiramisu, it was so creamy and delicious .
I especially requested the seafood risotto.. It was good.but. i wouldnt say it was the best.

I quite liked the italian salad.. generally because i love cheese and black olives! yes black olives. seems like no one else is fond of black olives apart from me haha.. didnt wanna try the caesar salad as i could always have that in many places in hk. abit bored of it really.

The classic pizza was hugeee!!! nothing special about the pizza besides the size. it came last and we were nearly full so we had to take that away.
The rosemary chicken was average to be honest.. it's definitely something i can bake at home.

Overall it was a nice dinner, will definitely come back for a good italian salad and tiramisu!
