I arrived at this restaurant around 9:15pm.

There were very few patrons at this time so it was very easy to get a table.

The selection were not as extensive as the larger Tai Hing Restaurant and mainly consisted of roast selections.

I ordered the Char Siu Rice as this was one of their signature dishes and was prepared in 5 minutes which was very good, and complimented with a cup of hot Horlicks.

The hot Horlicks was given first and was relatively hot and not too sweet.

The char siu was very tender and tasty and provided in a large portion. They were sliced thinly and served with little fat. The dish was supplemented with choi sum and a large quantity of rice with soy sauce.

The final bill came out to HK$41 which is a reasonable value for money.

Overall the flavour was delicious and fulfilling. I give this meal a thumbs up and rate it 8 out of 10. The last 2 points I feel could be made by adding oyster sauce options of the choi sum.

I booked a table for 8:30pm but was made to wait 10 minutes before a table was set. This leaves me to question their booking service and why a table was not reserved in advance.

Together with my friend, we ordered the following dishes:

Lobster Soup (Soup of the Day) [HK$48]
Teriyaki Chicken Caesar Salad [HK$142]
Salmon Carbonara [HK$258]

The Lobster Soup was much like many creme soup with lobster flavouring which tasted great added with sprinkle of herbs and bread crumbs make this dish credit a thumbs up.

The Teriyaki Chicken Caesar Salad was a very generous portion and the quality was okay. Much of the salad tasted like it was packaged and sprinkled with bread crumbs and 4 cherry tomatoes. Unfortunately the chicken did not have any teriyaki sauce or taste and was more like a grilled chicken found in other restaurants. It looked as if it was pre-cooked in a factory and reheated. It had not grilled texture and tasted like those found in fast food outlets.

The Salmon Carbonara like the salad was given in a generous portion with thick salmon steak over tagliatelle smothered in carbonara sause with ham pieces. Mixing the dish allowed the flavour to sink in and gave a great taste but felt dry in mouth much to some disappointment. The garlic bread atop was to me too off the shelf and would not equal that of a proper baked garlic bread which they should have prepared in kitchen.

Overall this was a good satisfactory dinner.
