CRUMBS!

Finally I could get to write a comment on one of my favorite froyo stores, Tada! It’s Crumbs!
Unlike other brands, I like the harder texture of the froyo, stronger yoghurt taste, and best of all: the house Crumbs! The house crumbs were freshly baked and it seems to have some hint of cinnamon in it. This time I chose strawberry and crumbs as the toppings (and asked for more crumbs!! mad As you can see in the picture!).

They had another popular toppings which is the white mini meringue which I MUST try it out next time… hm.. also Mochi... woooo have to try many more times then~~

Nando's Chicken in Hong Kong? Smile Nov 01, 2010

Bang Bang Tong – Nando’s in Hong Kong?
Walking along the street in Hunghom Baker Street, I found a takeaway shop with a Huge Poster in the front of the shop, promoting Nando’s Chicken. I went, what Oh My God, Nando’s Chicken in Hong Kong??? shocked

Surprised and thrilled, I walked over and realized it is a “cross over” from Bang Bang Tong’s BBQ chicken wings, i.e. using Nando’s Chicken Sauce for their flame grilled BBQ chicken wings!! I am so excited and immediately bought 6 pieces of wings for only $20, which is the promotional price. They also have 3 different level of hotness~ (Medium – Hot – Extra Hot), and I just tried Medium this time, YUM! The wings were marinated and grilled to perfection, and the sauce is just right. I had to say I miss Nando sauce so much, I even asked the shop attendant for extra sauce to go with my wings mad

Overall I would give an A to this takeaway shop, very nice food (although takes a little longer to cook as the food were cooked freshly upon order) and friendly staff. I would definitely come again and challenge the “Extra Hot” wings~

Yoghurt Or Froyo? Just OK Oct 18, 2010

Berry Good

The coming trend for the snack food industry, following the Taiwenese Bubble Tea seems to belong to: THE YOGHURT. I have seen the kick off from CRUMBS, followed by Yogo and Berry Good etc…

Personally I like to eat yoghurt myself, and am a fans of NEW ZEALAND (a frozen yoghurt shop), and how can I miss these new yoghurt shops??

The first yoghurt I tried in fact was Yogo back at Happy Valley, I remember the taste was very refreshing though I would say it’s quite expensive given the price was determine by the weight of the overall yoghurt & toppings you choose. Anyway back to Berry Good, I would say the yoghurt and the toppings itself is pretty much same as with those from Yogo. I had chosen strawberries, blueberries and the muesli as the topping and I love muesli because it gives a wonderful taste & munching texture to it. smile

Overall I would rate it a 3/5 given the generally good taste and services I experienced. However I would love to see more special toppings available next time I visit Berry Good again.

Milk Tea with Red Bean and Pudding

Had been drinking sooo much Taiwanese Bubble (Pearl) Milk Tea lately and sometimes would like to try something new every now and then. Just realized Gong Cha had this Milk Tea (with Red Bean & Pudding) out so just try it out. But this Milk Tea in fact was a little disappointing because I could not taste the tea, but like Milk + Red Bean + Pudding. Overall the drink is too sweet, and the pudding is not as smooth as other brandsshocked. Service from the frontline is ok, staff there is quite polite only that some gals were giggling while standing idle.

Hope Gongcha can improve on their overall quality and come up with something surprising.
