This is a lovely restaurant with friendly staff and great British food and I just love it.

The lobster soup was creamy and rich with lobster pieces, just yummy!

Then a waitress with a huge salad bowl on the trolly came near to our table and toss some fresh salad for us, the sauce was just right and lettuce was crispy and fresh.

When the main coruses came, we were shock with the portion of them, the ribs are enough for three people and the steak for two but there were only the two of us.

The BBQ sauce of the ribs was tasty and the meat was tender and not too dry, also at the bottom there was a lots of potatos wedges which were very tasty and crispy too but it was just too large for one person.

The steak was just right and juicy for my friend and with the Yorkshire pudding, it was just heaven!

We got a bottle of free red wine with the set dinner for two that we ordered and we were allowed to take it with us with a nice carrier big.

As I 've heard a lot of good comments from friends about this restaurant so I decide to go with a friend to try.

When we come to make the reservation which was two weeks before, the only time available was 9pm. Well! Although its a bit late for our usual dinner but since we wanted to try it so much then we made the booking.

We were directed to a booth seats next to the buffet counter when there was a few guests helping themselves to the salad togerher with some waitress and waiters standing there, it was a little cramp in space!

We ordered a sirloin steak (medium well), sea bass and sautéed mushrooms together with two glasses of mojito.

The face of the steak was nicely presented and it was tender and juicy in the middle but the surface of it was over cook, in fact it was burnt and turned to charcoal.

We asked a waiter about it and he told us this is the way to cook it and this was about it! We didnt feel that our comments had been taken seriously and feltl that he did not want to listen at all! After that we tried to drew attention from a restaurant manager and as they were all wearing black suits it was difficult to tell which one and though out the whole meal no one did come to our table and ask whether we are happy about our food! We were quiet disappointed about their service in this repect!

We are Club of the Hyatt members and we already tried all the outlets of the hotels, to be honest, this was the worst that we've ever experienced and hopefully that they can be improved!

Been to this restaurant before and we had very good experience in terms of food and services.

This time after the refuribushment, we decide to go again and it did not disappoint us too.

We order a Thai papaya with king prawns salad and a spicy and chili soft shell crab, the portion of the salad was reasonable but the portion of the crab was huge with the price of around $160 which is really worth the money.

For such a large group of restaurant, I really dont understand why Lei Garden MUST implement two sittings during weekend for dim sum.........................

The first sitting is from 11:45am to 12:45pm, only an hour, so if you have a large group of friends, then you better make sure they all arrive on time and order dim sums ASAP, otherwise it will be very very very rush............................

I have called the restaurant to find out whether 12:30pm booking is possible and also told the waitress that there will be a large group of friends including children but her reply was they ONLY have two sittings 11:45am to 12:45pm and 1:00pm to 3:00pm nothing else................

Then I told her that some of my friends have to catch up with their flight at 3:00pm so the second sitting is too rush but her reply was AGAIN they ONLY do two sittings....................

Why Lei Garden has such an inflexible booking policy???

Especially for a large group of friends gathering, how can they expect an hour is enough for so many people to read through the dim sum menus and place order, not to mention that if some friends want to order a second round or even dessert !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why can't Lei Garden not to implement the two sittings policy for large group of people say 10 or above?????

A colleague sent an advertisement to me saying that this restaurant is offering 15% discount to hotel staff, so five of us were enthusiastic to go and give it a try.

There were 3 sets menu which you can choose a type of noodle or rice for main course plus a standard drink. Four of us ordered noodle in soup and the other one ordered 撈檬. When they were served on the table, the amount of noodle was so little , it must be less than half of their normal size and the beef were small and tiny, I could hardly found a few strips of chicken in my bowl.

We also ordered some snacks which cost $18 for each dish – there was only have two Vietnam deep fried spring rolls in an order however the size of the pork chop was tasty and not too greasy but they forgot to cut it for us. When we ordered our drink the waitress told us there will be an extra $9 for Vietnam drip coffee and since we were already not so pleased about their food quantity so all of us only ordered normal coffee instead. When they came, we were all shocked that we only get half a cup and they were just merely warm which made you think that they were made a long time ago with instant coffee…….

There is ALWAYS a catch when there is an discount or offer on and the catch here is to cut the quantity and quality!!!!!

So please THINK TWICE If you want to try this restaurant.

It was my third time to this restaurant due to their pasta dishes are extremely nice and tasteful. Another reason is that it is more quiet in the evening so when you have done with your shopping in the Elements, you dont have to wait to be seated but to enjoy a quiet dinner.

We ordered a starter to share - Insalata Di Capesante Isolane (煎帶子伴小馬鈴薯配紅酒醋汁沙律), 4 nice big and meaty Hokkaido scallops served on top of new potato and mix salad and the red wine with vinegar dressing was very refreshing.For main course, we ordered an Orecchiette Ai Funghi (野菌燴猫耳朵粉), the pasta was a little bit under cook especially those ones which stick together but it was compensated by the fragrance of those mixed mushroom. The sauce was not too rich and creamy, just right for me and its one of my favourite dish. We also ordered Penne Con Prosciutto Di Parma Alla Vodka (巴馬火腿配伏特加蕃茄長通粉), another pasta dish served with sliced parma ham in spicy tomato sauce and vodka.The waitress was very polite and helpful. However when i asked an obvious question to one of the waiter what was the "soup of the day", he didnt know and thats made me feel he was very unprofessional, dont they have briefing from the supervisor ???

Anyway, I would definitely go back for my fourth time and try out more dishes because they are just yummy.

First of all, we were asked to pay a DEPOSIT for booking LUNCH in this restaurant, $50 per head and a set lunch only cost $86, where is the logic???? Can they not just tell their customers that they will only hold the table for 10 mins or so !!!!!!!!

There were eight of us and it was a farewell lunch for one of our colleague. There were few set lunches and in particular on one menu there were two set lunches cost $86, which includes miso soup and salad, main course were either (照燒牛柳粒 with 燒汁熔岩蛋包飯) or (燒鯖魚with 雞肉飯), dessert and tea or coffee. To be honest it was a good price IF only IF the food quality and service are good!

Five of us ordered set lunch with 照燒牛柳粒 with 燒汁熔岩蛋包飯, one ordered a set lunch with steak and the other ordered a set lunch with prok in curry udon.

Our food came very quickly and they were nicely presented, but those 照燒牛柳粒 were just like RUBBER, I am sure that they will give you stomachache if you don't chew it 30 times per piece and also we requested the steak to be half done but it was OVER DONE..........

Then we complaint to the manager and he told me because the beef cubes were fresh so they did not put any meat tenderizer 鬆肉粉on!!! What an "great" anwser???? That means all freah beef will taste like rubber....................

However, he said he will ask the kitchen to cook again and offered us few more pieces of beef cubes and another pieces of steak and the second round were slightly better but they were still very chewy.

Finally, the waitress had cleared our table very efficiently and we were asked for tea or coffee. Half way through our coffee and I just noticed that we have not been given any dessert ................... so we have to ask for them! By the time our dessert came, some of us had already finished the coffee.

It was a very bad experience for all of us and I am sure that I won't come back again!

It was my first time to this Thai Basil, although it was a last minute booking but the waitress was very kind to put us to a corner table.

My first impression was that the restaurant was very spacious and "dark"!

Then a waiter came to take our drink order and I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigrio and two glasses of water. The wine came with no time but he seems to have forgot our water which I had to remind him again.

We had ordered sauteed morning glory 泰蒜蝦干炒通菜($68), 1/2 dozen char grilled chicken and pork satays 沙嗲豬和雞串($72) and thai prawn green curry fried organic brown rice 泰蝦青咖哩炒有機糙米飯($92).

The sauteed morning glory was very nice and the amount of dried prawn and chilli were just right.

Char grilled satays were very "char grilled" as some parts of the meats were burn but the taste of the satays were nice.

Finally, the fired organic brown rice, we would be more appreciated if the waiter could remind us that the green curry was the hottest curry among the others and also no where was mentioned in the menu that this dish was very "spicy hot". The texture of the organic brown rice was a bit like risotto which was nice.......except the spice (what a pitty).

Overall the food were very tasty, their portions were generous and the prices are reasonable in Pacific Place area.

I have been to this restaurant many times for lunch and dinner as I am working in the Ocean Terminal.

The deco of the restaurant makes me feel very peaceful and clam when I am sitting down as they are all in wood and white color.

There was me and my friend having a quick dinner on last Wednesday at 7pm and it was not really busy, we had ordered 生牛肉湯粉, 雞絲糯米飯 and 蝦膏炒高麗菜 but after 15 mins, two different waitress came to ask whether we have ordered the 蕃茄蟹肉湯檬?? Obviously, they had mixed up our order with another table!

Talking about the food,

- 生牛肉湯粉, the beef was over cooked but the soup was tasty.

- 雞絲糯米飯 , when it was put on the table, my first impression was "DRY", it was purly chicken slices with 糯米飯 although the taste was not bad at all but those 糯米飯 was very hard when it got cold.

- 蝦膏炒高麗菜, became 蝦膏炒雜菜 , there was carrots, celeries, cabbages, baby corns, onion etc etc.........

Personally, I think 蕃茄蟹肉湯檬 is the best!
