Long of its famous pork chop in tomato-loaded soup, especially after being highly recommended by my gourmet friend, can't resist to go there early to avoid the crowds so to a real taste of it.
Impressed by the sketched tents outside stating its signature, peeked my head and was warmly welcomed by a lady, right in the middle of the end of the store there hang a picture taken of this store with its brown colour added a sense of nostalgia.
A tomato pork chop noodle is ordered, with me waiting patiently for noodles I spotted a note pasted right next to the kitchen saying 'Please don't hurry, cooking needs time' Very true nothing good could be made in a rush, it's only available in fast food store not here.
At this very moment the old gentleman (the boss) peeked his head out of the little opening and looked at me,' Sorry for keeping you waiting but the pork chop is on grilled already' Hurry then I replied 'Please don't rush, take your time, I'm here especially for your pork chop'
Being served hot a large bowl of tomato-loaded soup with a nicely grilled pork chop on top, got a sip of the soup, with no MSG, the sourness of the tomatoes were neutralised with the sweatness of the soup, the pork chop is of the right thickness, crispy and tender, this cheap bite simply drove me to heaven.
There was a young man sat next to me and ordered an iced Vitaline, with it served for 5 mins I guess then the son of the boss came by and asked if he needed more ice, how attentive was the service, even in this little tucked away store, the crowds didn't turn it to be a money scrapping store but just made it a better one with its service and taste of food preserved at such a standard.
I was enjoying my early lunch for an hour with a big smile sketching across my face.
