There's a really pretty Thai actress in town and she's been here 2 weeks without Thai food so I thought it would be nice to go for some Thai for lunch. Made a reservation in the morning so there was no wait for our table. The place was packed today, good thing thought ahead of time.

They have a new lunch menu which I thought was very exciting. You can order 3 items + a rice for your lunch. They had quite a few items to choose from which is very nice. I chose:

Red curry with lychee and pineapple
Gai lan with salted fish
Egg and tofu salad
Jasmine riceThe curry had too much coconut milk in it and the duck was rock hard. Although the lychee and pineapple tasted pretty good in the curry, the curry wasn't hot, it was warm.

The gai lan and salted fish had no flavor and I don't think I even had one piece of the fish in my bowl

The egg and tofu salad was ok, not bad but no flavor as well.

My friend wasn't so lucky, she ordered and they kept bringing her the wrong food. They brought her plate, it was totally the wrong food and they took her plate back to change it. They brought it over again and it was still wrong, they finally brought her the right order after 3 tries, not good. Getting a server was also a nightmare, not enough servers and too many customers. Very bad service.

Everywhere was packed today for lunch so we decided so have ramen, hoping it wouldn't take too long. We waited in line for about 10 mins and got a table for 2 by the window.

I ordered the ramen with corn, 12 dumplings, the spicy ramen and a pepsi.

My ramen wasn't hot when it arrived, it was lukewarm, which is a very bad sign. How can you serve lukewarm soup??? The ramen wasn't cooked all the way through because the soup wasn't hot enough. The dumplings weren't very good either, the skin was mushy and the bottom wasn't crispy. I could also taste the MSG in the soup.......The food quality around this area seems to be dropping and at this rate, I won't have any good places to go for lunch pretty soon!!!!

My colleague's birthday so decided to have lunch with her. Came here because didn't have to wait for a table at 1pm. Should have followed my instincts, no wait, must not be too good.

My colleague ordered the Jumbo Ribeye with fries and veggie $90 comes with soup/salad + tea/coffee. She said it was pretty good:

So I decided to opt for a healthy lunch today and decided to try out Dressed since it's been a while. After my lunch, I remember why I don't eat there anymore. The seating is very limited in the restaurant so I had to take away my lunch. There were a lot of people, so I waited around 10 mins for my order.

I got the lunch special ~ salad, soup & drink for $48. I had the cobb salad, chili and lemonade:The salad was over dressed, the greens were practically swimming in the dressing and there was just too much cheese. The avocados were hard which means they weren't ripe but the best thing of the salad was that everything was chopped up into bite size and didn't have the whole leaf of lettuce or big chunks of chicken.

I ordered the chili, but as you can see from the pic above, that is NOT chili, it's a tomato based soup with beans. Very, very oily and it wasn't even hot. I know you must think because I took the food back to the office it must be lukewarm, but no, it was very tepid, almost cold. My office is a 3 minute walk from Dressed.

The best part of the whole meal was the lemonade, not too sweet and very tangy. Great drink.

All in all, I think they do better salads at Taste across the street. Bigger portions of the salad at least!!!!

We went there yesterday for a quick bite to eat, hadn't been here for a very long time and now I remember why. It was a sweltering 32C yesterday and after walking around outside, I hoped to go into a nice air conditioned restaurant for some food. As soon as we sat down, i wanted to leave, but that would be too rude. The a/c was on 25C I guess, but it just wasn't enough.

We ordered a raw beef pho, shrimp salad, tiger prawn summer roll and spring rolls for 2 people. The shrimp salad was really good, very good combination taste of the sweet and salty fish sauce with some small chilies. The spring rolls are a bit small, we're used to the big fat Vietnamese rolls from Vancouver The summer rolls were OK, but I was missing the peanut paste that usually comes with the rolls, instead they brought over a sweet and sour paste. The summer rolls came at the very end of the meal, just like a dessert, weird huh?? It just took toooooooooooo long to get here.

My friend just texted me and said he's been sick since last night and asked me how I was feeling. Thank God I didn't eat the beef pho, I probably would have been in the toilet all night too!!!!!

All in all, it was OK for me but NOT for my friend.

Don't think I'll go back again.
