There are enough review for 老飯店. I just want to highlight, the simpler the dish, the harder it is. I always love cold plate like 白切肉, 鎮江餚肉 and basic stir fry 清炒蝦仁. 老飯店 does it very very well. The 蔥燒海參 also exceptional. Note of caution, it's quite a pricey restaurant !

Been to 唐閣 several times now, like everything they do. The dining room are very nicely done, tables are far apart then most restaurants, so it's quite quiet. Lighting are dim and moody, seats are comfortable. Our favorite dish include 豬腳仔, 片皮雞 and 乳豬. Come here with the discount card and the damage won't be too bad. We try 鹹酸菜鴨舌last time and it was surprisingly tasty too. Try it !

If I am lucky I get to eat 大閘蟹 a few times toward the end of the season. This year our first round was from the popular 新三陽 and was good. Second round, we were introduced to 肥仔號. We brought 10+, 1/2 are 陽澄湖 and 1/2 are 太湖, cost ~ $200@. 肥仔 said don't dip into the vinegar if you want to savor the differences. 陽澄湖 has a license tag and 太湖 not. For us, having the opportunity to eat 靚蟹 is hard enough. As long as they are fresh and have plenty of 膏, it's good enough for us. They turns out to be very nice, not all of them 爆膏 but they are all quite decent and this was early December. My favorite are those 白膏.

Went here for lunch, it's a very fancy fine Nihon restaurant well known for 天婦羅. The place is dark, very dark & spot lighting created a very nice moody atmosphere. Even when the whole floor was fill up, it was no noisy or loud, very comfortable. Their lunch manual are very comprehensive, plenty of combination套餐 or set lunch. We picked sushi tempura, sashimi tempura, etc etc. Everything came out as expected, nicely prepared, fresh. This is a nice place to sit at the tempura bar snack a few fry fishes and shrimps and drink lots of sake & beers in the afternoon or late night. Or sit in the sushi bar if you are in the mood for some fine fresh sashimi. To top our experience, we even saw 梁朝偉 sat at the tempura bar.

I am always crazy for 鹵水鵝腳. While buying crab, we stop by 老四. They were a little bit uncomfortable when seeing me up close with camera ! But since we brought a lot and I really meant a lot, they said nothing. This particular batch we brought turns out to be not as great. Taste was fantastic but the feet is way to tough, most of them don't come off the bone. I am sure they do better other times. Will go back try again in the future.
