I always think that service plays a large role in a restaurant.
Of course, in HK, we couldn't expect excellent service but at least it should be up to standard.
Before commenting on the food, I have something to share about the nasty service in Domon.
Case 1:
I took the seat for 2. At that moment, it was 5 minutes before 6 in the evening. Only 30% was full. The waitress offered me the table. I saw there was 3 sofa seats for 2. I requested to have the sofa seats as it was still early as I was sure we could end the simple meal before 7:00 pm. Strangely, the waitress was not willing to do so as said, 'if there's 3-4 more people demanding the sofa seats, you have to give it back to us'

(do you think it is Tai Pang Dong? we have to give back the seats to you during eating the ramen in this 10% service charge restaurant?)
Case 2:
My relative and I used Groupon. As my relative is nearly 70 years old and the terms in Groupon were in very small words. We asked what food we could have if we used Groupon. The waitress said, ' All are written here already! ' in an extremely impolite way. I couldn't held 'staring' at her for her impolite service. My relative was still very patient, he demanded her to explain in detail. But, the waitress only repeated , 'All the food are written on the paper of Groupon already.'

My relative said, 'ok, then just follow what have been written there.' After a few minutes, the waitress said very loudly , 'It's not yet 6:00 pm, you can only order those at 6:00.' But according to our watch, it WAS ALREADY six. The waitress insisted, 'still ten minutes left according to their clock.'
Case 3:
My relative and I requested a glass of water and a pair of chopstick.. We have to order twice.
Case 4:
I saw the waitress accidentally hit the chair of one of the customers. The hot soup poured from her hand to the customer. Very luckily, only a bit was on the customers' bag. But, I can clearly see and hear that the waitress DID NOT say sorry at all. She just focused on cleaning the floor. The customer was very angry.
Case 5:
We asked to pay the bill. The waitress THREW the bill on our table. She said '$129'. My relative and I were very surprised as we already gave the Groupon paper to that waitress at the beginning, which means, we shouldn't pay except the extra service charge as we have paid on the internet when ordering the Groupon. See! The restaurant was so careless and wasn't caring at all. We had to reminded them 'It was Groupon!!!'
The food was lower than standard also.
We had butter ramen, salmon salad and pumpkin snacks.
Ramen is nothing more than like buying ramen in supermarket and pour some soup on it.
The soup was extremely salty.
The salmon sald was awful. The texture of salon was like messy and abnormally tender, like those have been put there for a long time.
I will NEVER go back to this restaurant as the service is horrible. The ten % service charge was not worthy.
Even if it was free of charge, I wouldn't never step into this restaurant and would spread around for their nasty service.
