Met up my friend for lunch during the weekend. We wanted to go to another restaurant but the place was full, so we ended up going to this place as a couple was just leaving.
They serve set lunch with appetizer, main and drink/ dessert. I ordered Caesar salad as my app, and beef tenderloin as my main. My friend had the Greek salad and seafood paella. They served focaccia, which was quite dense and the taste is kinda bland, I didn’t really like it. The salad came quickly, and the portion was quite big with fresh lettuce, the dressing was nice and tasty as well. But it could use abit more parmesan, crouton and bacon bits. My friend had the Greek salad and she said the veggie was also nice and fresh, and the fata cheese added a nice flavor to it.
Then came the main courses, I think they brought our food to another table, as they left the beef at the other table and served the paella to my friend. They served my beef shortly afterwards, but the beef was way overcooked, more like a medium well, prob that's what the other table ordered and def not the medium rare which I ordered. They brought me another plate and this was cooked right. The steak had the nice grilled marks and it was tender, the sides were ok, the potato mash was tasty but could find bits of potato. I didn’t taste my friend’s paella, but she liked it as the sauce was very tasty and fragrant while the seafood was ok, plus the portion was very big and she couldn’t finish it. I had a cup of iced lemon tea to end my lunch.
Supplementary Information
One thing the restaurant needs to pay attention to is the air cond. The place was quite hot after we sat down for abit. I overheard others were complaining about the heat as well, I think it was particularly worse for some tables further in. They actually had a few fans on, so I think they are aware of the problem, but haven’t been able to fix it yet.
