Because of the recent financial tsunami, instead of going out to Central for lunch, my colleagues and I often have a quick lunch, Pret is always our preferred choice as it's just underneath our office. Both the food & service are great. Especially, after we tried the food next door Simply Life , we then appreciate the sandwiches at Pret more. The ingredients are much fresher and of high quality. Also, the prices at Pret are more resonable whereas Maxims is overpricing their products. I especially like the different sauces that Pret use in the sandwiches which make each sandwich have a unique taste profile. For example, Horseradish sauce with Roast Beef, Curry & Mango Sauce with Chicken, Pickle sauce with Ham & Cheese. Each combination has a unique taste and very delicious.

I came here because after "Ah So"'s recommendations on TV. The food is just average.

chopstick Baby Back Ribs - Very "Bony", not much meat to eat. The sauce is nothing special.
chopstick Tomato & Double Cheese Pizza - Flavour is OK but it's cold
chopstick Carbonara Angel Hair - Pasta is al dente, sauce is nice
chopstick Hazelnut Creme Brulee - Not too sweet. Very smooth.

Overall, I think this restaurant is worth to come for a try. But do not expect too much to avoid disappointment. However, I will come again as the pasta and dessert are nice.

I was here on Sunday which there's a long line-up in ordering the cookies for Chinese New Year. Overall, I think the packaging is very nice. You can have free trial of each flavours in the shop. The sales patiently explain and recommend each flavours.

I like the Palmier alot. They are not too sweet, very crispy. I remember I used to enjoy them alot when I was small but nowadays not many bakery shop have them except you can find the "commercial" ones in supermarket. The ones here are more original in taste and feel more "home made"

Overall the food is OK but the services are poor. However, I think the prices are too high, given the fact that the food is like mass prodution products. If you want to have authentic Vietnamnese food, I wouldn't recommend to come here. At Ricepaper, the food are more so called "fusion" which I think aren't any special.

In terms of the services, I would expect if they charge such high prices plus 10% service charge the services would be better. I ordered a curry vegetables, which basically are lots of sauce with mixed vegetables and "tofu pop". I made a complaint to the Manager, but he insisted that this is what supposed to be and just walked away. However, I did had it before in their branch in CWB which is different. I really hope that a chain like that big, at least can have some standardization on their food.

Recommended Dish(es):  安格斯牛, 燒鵝肝
