希望你可發掘更多法國菜的好食店,
因為我較少吃正宗的法國菜呢

有空請到我食評看看喔smile

Take Care of yourself when you are away from Hongkong smile
Will you still be reading this website from time to time?

Do come back soon and write again- otherwise, you should (or you already do? tongue) set up some blog and write something about your different experiences in China! I will be really interested to know more about there - in fact I go up quite a bit to work, but mainly in Southern China only....

Wouldn't mind learning what they have in China nowadays, as they will overtake HK very soon 1 day! smile

See ya,

Sometimes a good meal is worth it I guess - afterall, if you eat $50-100 meals day-in and day-out, its just a few meals combined into one. ON THE PROVISION that the meal's quality is very impressive.... !

I'm still trying to work out where to take someone for Birthday Dinner lately. I don't think I want to pay 6,000HKD for a meal, but I'm been dying to go to this place in Macau for dinner 1 night. Not sure I really should spend that much hmmmm.. guess not this year. Wait til I save up more money!

In the mean time - happy eating for X'Mas!

Regards,
KELVIN ( Babedolphin )
Hi.   2009-12-12 01:43218.103.x.x
Hey I go to that Insomnia places in LKF for drinks a lot in the past! But never had lunch there before, haha! tongue

My meal at Robuchon L'Atelier wasn't too expensive - around $430 all up per person. However, it's only half of what you saw on the photos obviously, since its only 3 Courses.

To me - I think it was on the high side for that food quality? Not sure. If pay just a little bit more, u get a lot more at Pierre or Amber or may be other places! sadsmile

Hi!   2009-11-26 22:00218.103.x.x
You know, honestly, the food at the Pastis French place is only so-so good lol! Just thought I'll let u know..... but the owners are really nice plus I personally enjoy such simple food (as well as sophisticated ones!)

So don't have much high hopes there! But yes its affordable. Plus the Creme Caramel is genuinely very nice! smile

Cheers,

Re: lord stow's bakery macau   2009-10-28 12:09
oh!! There's a really famous ice-cream shop that I missed!! My friend forgot to take me there!! sad anyway, it's called Lai Kee Ice-Cream:

http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/sr2.htm?shopid=23761

Perhaps you can try it out next time!

Oh no, I haven't tried out Vero yet, but I recommend the 100% chocolate cake (they name it):

pumpernickel (黑麥) on 1/F of Hutchison House~ it's pretty good! Very chocolatey!!!
Chocolate Cake shop?   2009-10-25 02:37219.77.x.x
Hi,

Sorry was out of town for a few days due to work, barely came online enough.
I noticed you left a msg and recommended a 100% Choco Cake you tried at Hutchison House. So do u know which shop it is? I've only been to that Shanghai Place and Cafe Habitu there, but may be there's something hidden I didn't find b4!

Thanks for recommendation: Would love to try definitely. By the way, the Debauve and Gallais one is actually quite good. May be I just got an over-refrigerated drier version. My tea though was really bad for $60 *cry cry*

By the way, not sure if u know but my name is Kelvin - many people mistake my avatar
name and assume it to be a female lol so I better point it out earlier rather than later. ^O^'

Enjoying your reviews of late smile

Re: Chocolate Cake shop?   2009-10-25 10:12
Hey, thanks for the message, haha, and for clearing the misunderstanding! I would really have mistaken you for a female instead of a male...oops....anyway, the shop is called pumpernickel (黑麥) on 1/F of Hutchison House smile And yea, they really sell this so-called 100% chocolate cake! It tastes pretty good, at least for a chocolate monster like myself!

Anyway, lemme know what u think once u try it smile

I was wondering if u hav tried the savory one as i want to know if the pancake base of the savory tastes sweet or savory?

Re: My old dutch   2009-10-19 14:26
Oh I think I've tried out the savory one before...but honestly, the pancake base is just the same as usual, a bit sweet, I guess! Gotta refresh my memory coz tried it ages ago, say 3 years?! Anyway, yea, lemme know if you have any other good pancake recommendations!!!!
