Came across your mouth-watering food reviews on Openrice & you are a true foodie. I want to get in touch with you on a few things and if possible, can you drop me an email to gewu@mohg.com so that we can take it from there onwards.
:)2010-06-14 16:54 116.6.x.xgg your photos look really nice. did you bring your camera out everyday lol. i have got a canon 500D myself and I become pretty lazy and left it under my bed nowadays..poor cam.
Thanks for the compliments. Bringing the camera really comes down to planning. I generally plan ahead when I know I'm going to a place I'd like to review. Lugging my camera and 2 lenses (1 for food shots the other for wide angle interior shots) is a bit of a hassle but I don't particularly mind. Although my food shots are far from perfect I really enjoy taking them. If you look at my earlier reviews you can see my food shots have gotten 'better' over time.
Food Pictures2010-04-13 22:03203.218.x.xHi Ken - Thank you so much for your comments for all the restaurants, they are so useful! And your pictures are so good! I am trying to take pictures of food as well.. just started using my DSLR.. what camera and lense do you use?
Sorry for the late reply, I've been traveling a lot lately. Thanks for the kind compliments. I currently use a Canon 5D with a 24-70 f/2.8 lens. Although if you have a prime (fixed focal length) lens I probably would suggest that mainly because it's a lot lighter. If you are trying to improve your food photography I would definitely suggest looking at more food photos online (Flickr has tons). You'll start to notice composition/framing methods that work for you and can try it out for yourself. Let me know if you have any other questions ok?
Re: what a small world2010-02-06 18:01210.17.x.xHey Ken,
Didn't realize you responded to this comment til now. I've kept myself hidden from Facebook (great utility, but there are certain crazies out there that I need to keep my privacy from), but hit me up on email and we'll talk. Your Japan trip sounds amazing.
what a small world2010-01-25 19:55210.17.x.xHey what's up Ken, I recognize your pic from the NYC snowboarding meetup group!!! Just moved out here from NYC to a serviced apt in wan chai to see how I like it for a few months. Some friends recommended signing up for this site, they said it's like HK's version of yelp.
Have you found any good snowboarding nearby here? I've heard there's some in western china and up in korea, but I'm not sure what the quality's like.
I've been busy travelling around a good amount since landing on the 8th (only actually been IN HK for two or three days so far), but I should be around more starting next month. Let's get together for a drink or some burgers.
Did we ever meet in NYC? Nice to know there are other NYC snowboarders floating around. I've met members randomly in HK and also when I was at my cousin's wedding in Bali (his friends are from NYC). Ridiculous how many of us there are floating around.
In regards to snowboarding I actually just signed up for a trip to Japan next month. 12 days (8 days riding) then the 6 of us are staying 4 extra days in Tokyo. Considering a few of my boys from NYC have never been to Japan I am really looking forward to this trip.

I recently joined this webiste and very much enjoyed your reviews. You are honest yet sincere at the same time.
I wonder if you have a opportunity to try a new caribbean private kitchen in Sai Kung with a group of your friends
