The Place, Cordis, Hong Kong’s all-day dining buffet restaurant, presents a Japanese and Korean dining experience during May and June, featuring popular delicacies from the two Asian culinary destinations on the buffet.

KPOP x JPOP Buffets

Bringing you on an audiovisual adventure that defines the Korean and Japanese musical genre, The Place elevates the lunch and dinner selection with a KPOP and JPOP playlist paired with visually scrumptious Korean and Japanese classic delights, and free flow beverages including Green Citrus Yuzu Marmalade Soda, Kyoho Grape Soda, Peach Sencha, Jeju Yujacha (honey citron Korean tea), and Saenggang Cha (ginger tea).

Aside from guest favourites, Seafood on Ice and Freshly Shucked Oysters, homemade dishes often showcased in widely watched Korean dramas including Ajumma Homemade Kimchi may be paired with Korean Fried Chicken or Korean Galbi. For dinner specials, you may choose to snack on street food munchies Spicy Cheesy Tteokbokki (rice cake), test the cheese pull limit from the Firey Buldak (spicy chicken with cheese), beat the heat with iconic Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup) and indulge in an endless supply of Kimchi and Cheese Lobsters.

In conjunction, Miso and Cheese Lobsters are served alongside as a Japanese complement to the Korean dishes. You may savour Japanese Chilled Soba Noodle, Green Tea Soba, Somen and Kyushu Ramen. Enjoy a live station of Seafood Okonomiyaki and dinner specials with Hokkaido Tokachi Kurobuta (black pork), and live stations including flaming Aburi Sushi, freshly made Tamaki Rolls, and sizzling Teppanyaki Wagyu Beef.

As a salute to Japan’s Zen aesthetics in Japanese Gardens, The Place’s culinary team presents the Zen Sesame Cake and Chocolate Mousse Flower Cake, and highlight desserts Choya Jelly with Gold Foil and all-black affairs, Charcoal Waffle topped with a choice of Movënpick ice cream, drizzled on top with a red bean and black sesame sauce, and Charcoal Profiteroles. Chefs prepare fresh to order light and fluffy Japanese Soufflé Pancakes, and Japanese Soft Baked Cheese Tart.

The Place’s KPOP x JPOP buffet is available from 1 May to 30 June 2016 during lunch and dinner hours, excluding 8 May 2016. Bookings for The Place may be made at +852 3552 3028 or via email cdhkg.restaurants@cordishotels.com
