Stewed pork ribs in Chu hau sauce

This is a rather simple dish to prepare, and has been an all time favourite family dish.

Ingredient and Portion
Pork ribs 500g
Seasoning
cooked oil 2tbsp
crushed garlic 1clove
chu hau sauce 2tbsp, combined with 1tbsp shaoxing wine
stock 1 cup
dark soya sauce 1tbsp
sesame oil 1tsp

To thicken:
combine 2tbsp water with 2tsp cornstarch
Method
Rinse ribs well, wipe dry, and cut into lengths of about 1 inch long.
heat oil in clay pot, fry garlic and chu hau sauce, add in ribs and fry well. Add in dark soya sauce, sugar and stoack, andsimmer over medium heat, covered, for about 25 minutes. Add in sesame oil.
Take out ribs and place on serving plate, the thicken sauce with cornstarch solution in clay pot. Pour sacue over ribs and serve.
Tips
Season this dish according to your own liking. You may want to add sugar if you like it sweeter, or more soya sauce if you lke the dish a little saltier.
