I have been to Wakas Mess a few times, and I have introduced it to my friends they all are contented to the nice foods there! Not only food, the waiter there is so nice he offers me a lot of modifications for my lunch! To be honest, the restaurant does not look really nice------but if you are scared off not to try this out just because of the environment, you will regret----the food here, especially paneer(spinach and cheese stew non spicy), fish curry, mango lassi and masala tea are freaking amazing, and unimaginably cheap when comparing to other restaurants such as Miss India in Mong Kok (I must declare that foods in Miss India is also one of the best authentic Indian foods I tried out in HK, see my other comment).

I enjoy lunching there, the lunch set is very economically-priced (58 per head with 10% discount), which includes:

1 naan, 1 rice, 1 curry/paneer/fried rice, 1 roti(pepper crisp), 1 chicken tikka, 1 drink.

+5 dollars will upgrade the naan

+8 dollars will upgrade the drink

Not every Indian restaurant can make curry so delicious without much oil, rich in vegetables and lovely spices! Perfect taste! Fish tikka here are nice, the beef in the curry is too stiff.

My favourite is Paneer (spinach and cheese stew), excellent with naan, which is crispy outside and soft inside. Not every restaurant can make such great naan texture!

Chicken tikka here is quite good, I prefer those in Miss India Mong Kok

Masala tea and Mango Lassi is excellent, not too sweet, the taste of the tea and spices stand out in the Masala tea, while Mango and milk taste are rich in Mango Lassi, making you so contented and happy!

I must say, I am a weird girl, I always like dipping my naan into Masala tea and Mango Lassi, making my naan a slightly sweet dessert---if you want, try it, it is perfect!

The only drawback is there is not a lot of variety to choose from the dishes~

I will continue coming to this restaurant and introduce it to my friend!
