I came here on a friday night around 7.30 expecting to have to wait a long time for a table. However, there was no line up at all for a table for 2 and have plenty of seats for small parties. The atmosphere is ok, but the tables were small for 2. We each ordered a drive. I ordered the blueberry cheesecake yogurt. It has a strong blueberry taste but not much cheese taste. Not bad for about $35. The other drink was the green apple tea. my friend ordered it without sugar. the tea has a strong green
We each ordered a drive. I ordered the blueberry cheesecake yogurt. It has a strong blueberry taste but not much cheese taste. Not bad for about $35. The other drink was the green apple tea. my friend ordered it without sugar. the tea has a strong green apple and tea taste. very refreshing.
the menu is very interesting. there are lots of fusion menu items that i want to try. We mainly got appitizers as they seem more appealing than main course.
first we ordered the tom yam soup. one order is for one person. it was okay as we both got a little to bit to try. the taste wasn't anything special and it wasnt spicy at all. I wouldnt recommend it as the shrimp wasnt fresh.
we got a salad with fried calarmari. this was pretty good but a little spicy. the presentation was also very attractive.
fried shrimp was the best. the sauce was really good i think it was thousand island base and the added with the shrimp was excellent. it also came with a little bit of salad. more veggies
the last appetizer was the seafood souffle. i had never had a souffle for a starter so i want to give it a try. this was the most disappointing dish i had all night. the souffle wasn't even a souffle. it tasted kinda like bread. and the texture was awful. the seafood sauce tasted like lobster bisque. which was pretty good. but it would have been better if they pairde it with bread or something else to dip rather than the so called souffle. i would definitly not recommend this dish and give it a double thumbs down!!
last dish we had was this red curry meatball with fries. it sounded and looked good from the menu. so we thought we would give it a shot. when it came the dish was completely off from the picture in the menu. we thought the fries would be on the side for you to dip. but it was actually in the bottom sucking up all the curry sauce ... soggy fries ... GROSS. the meatballs was just gross ... and the curry was not spicy or anything. the veggies and sauce was ok but this dish all together doesnt do justice.
overall we had a good meal. there were some surprisingly good fusion food and some you can just simiply pass. I guess we ordered too much food for 2 people? the table was so small at a point we really couldnt put anything else on it. it was that bad. but this is hong kong, you can't expect to have a very big table for such a small party.
i might not recommend this place to others but if i am around the area and don't know what to eat i MIGHT come back. but for sure if i can traditional thai food, this would not be the place.
