As the weather was getting cold just before the Chinese New Year, we (6 of us) came to this place to try their signature hot pot. Service was ok but I think they could really do better for a hotel restaurant ... ... (but then maybe that was because the restaurant was quite full on that night ?)

Back to the food now. The meal started off with cold dishes (sauteed mushrooms, duck, goose legs and jellyfish) which were fine. Next came the bbqs - lamb and beef, which were hot and delicious. The hot pot came with 2 types of soup bases. For those who could tolerate spicy food, I strongly recommend their "numb and spicy" soup base - hot, spicy, and they also added some chinese herbs which really enhanced the fragrance ! For a 4 person set, they offered lots of ingredients for the hot pot: fish slices, scallops, prawns, beef, 2 types of lamb, dumplings, vegetables, as well as noodles. All of the stuff were fresh and tasty, but by far the most impressive items were the lamb and the noodles, which were freshly prepared and very tangy, and a perfect match to the sesame sauce provided
We ended up quite full after the desert. The only disappointment of the night was that they have temporaily removed the credit count discount offer during the New Year period
But although the bill might be a bit expensive, all of us had a great time. This is certainly a good place to have lamb hot pot in Hong Kong and we look forward to coming back every now and then for the "perfect antidote", especially when the weather is getting cold.
