This is the main reason why I would not go again.I’ve literally just left the cafe feeling pretty annoyed with the service and the staffs’ attitude. I’ve literally just left the cafe feeling pretty annoyed with the service and the staffs’ attitude. My mum and I have been to this cafe before and today we brought a family friend along to try out their ‘3D coffee’. Basically, my mum went up to order first, the cafe only do 3D art on a medium size cappucino so that was what she ordered. Next one in line was our family friend, she said to the waitress at the till that ‘she wanted the same as what my mum ordered’. This was what the waitress replied ‘you can’t order because your friend just ordered one’. The cafe have a rule that only one cup of 3D coffee per table (which i only just realised), so she was forced to have a latte instead which she did not want to.
Whilst we were ordering, there was another waitress stood right beside the waitress at the till the whole time. So when it was my turn i ordered the same thing, and the waitress asked me if i know someone who just ordered a 3D coffee…? It didn’t occur to me what she meant at that point so i said no.
As soon as i left the till and sat down, i saw the second waitress who was at the till came out quickly and checked on me to see whether i came alone or with friends. (I am not the only person saying this, see other people’s comment). I thought that was weird, then the family friend told me when i was ordering, she saw the waitress gave an eye signal to the other waitress to do that and they thought no one saw it…honestly. It made me feel like i was a thief and i was pretty pissed off at that point with them looking at our direction the whole time (we were sat next to the wall in the far corner). To be honest, its not like we didn’t pay for our drinks and obviously this isn’t a service anyone would expect. I had to give my 3D coffee to my family friend as she wasn’t happy. We got to chat to the people at the table next to us and they said they heard similar experience.
We were well looking forward in having a nice afternoon coffee there as it is a comfortable place to be in, but obviously I didn’t have a pleasant time today nor did my family friend though this was her first visit, the service has put her off majorly and she said she wouldn’t come again.
Moreover, the 3D art coffee we got showed that they didn’t put much effort in, unlike the previous times i was there. Adding to that, the cappucino is average not hot enough and too foamy. If it wasn’t for the 3D coffee, i wouldn’t go.
After my first visit to the cafe, i did recommend all my friends to go and try it out. But after what happened today, they might second that thought.
Also one last thing about ‘one 3D coffee per table’…do they mean per group? What if you happen to be sitting at the same table as a stranger who also just ordered a 3D coffee before you? Hmmmm.…
