Ah Yat Harbour View Restaurant is located on the 29th floor of i-square, with a spectacular view over the Victoria Harbour. The restaurant is fairly new, has been around for 2 years and it is a sister restaurant of Forum Restaurant. The décor is neat and comfortable, with plenty of dark wood used.It wasn’t a planned lunch. I was rather under dress after physiotherapy, yet the staff served me courteously. The manager was welcoming and experienced; he knows the menu well and recommended the food w
Abalone tarts were prettily presented. The abalone itself has lighter gravy than usual (appropriate for lunch, well tailored) and plenty of abalone taste. From its texture, we can confirm the abalone was selected with care. Abalone sits nicely on the tart, which was slightly sweet and wasn’t greasy at all. The sweetness completed the Abalone tarts. Splendid, not a bad start to begin the lunch! Shrimp dumplings and the scallop dumplings were made with standard. The shell fish was cooked well and the wrapper were carefully made (sometimes it is too thin/thick and it wasn’t sticky). I thoroughly enjoyed the pig liver cheung fun! The wrapper was soft and smooth, and the pig liver was crisp yet yielding on the tongue, and leaving a delicious flavour with a long finish. Highlight of the lunch! Absolutely astonishing! Service was brilliant, the manager (Michael) and waitress anticipating every minor need. I enjoyed the vigorous flavours that lingered in side my mouth through the dim sum that I tried. I am looking forward to the next visit.
