As a fan of the 大坑 area, I visit 大坑 for lunch and dinner around 2-3 times a month. I especially love the atmospheres of it and spend my weekend afternoon for a relaxing meal with friends or just read a book by myself. Last Sunday I went to 大坑 for lunch as usual, I found a nice looking cafe just open at the corner of King Street. It was packed! So I took the road side spot, but after a while it start to rain and luckily a pair of couple inside finished their meal, so I switched it the inside
Last Sunday I went to 大坑 for lunch as usual, I found a nice looking cafe just open at the corner of King Street. It was packed! So I took the road side spot, but after a while it start to rain and luckily a pair of couple inside finished their meal, so I switched it the inside table.
The Interior is very nice and I can tell the owner (or the interior designer) spend a lot of effort on small details. I do travel to Japan quite a lot and of course, I spend so much times to visit those small cafés in many street corners across Japan. And this café really brings me the similar feeling, I enjoyed it!!
From their lunch menu, I ordered the shrimp and tomato linguine and my mom ordered a sirloin steak lunch. Both are great! The shrimps are large and fresh and the steak was tender. It comes with either a salad or soup, and I personally loved it coffee as it coffee bean are freshly grind.
They also come with an option for $20 / cake if order a lunch set. We ordered one strawberry cake, which taste good.
We spend $156 for 2 persons which I think it’s very reasonable in terms of quality and atmosphere, (one good thing is they don’t need service charge, which is a plus). I asked the waiter and they tell me that they have free WIFI, that’s cool, next time I will bring my laptop for my weekend afternoon tea.
