Based on the owner's recommendation, we are trying two of their signature dishes, the BLT Sandwich and the Organic Whole Wheat Fusilli Mixed Veggie Salad with Vegan Pesto Sauce.

Their B.L.T stands for beetroot, lettuce and tofu. The organic beetroot is first roasted and the tofu cake slightly pan-fried before being put together with the sliced lettuce and low fat vegan mayo which is all sandwiched between two brown bread slices. The beetroot is very crunchy while the tofu cake is soft, yet firm and tastes quite light. Together, they form a pretty good balance both in texture as well as in taste. These together with the lettuce match well with the mayo which is refined with a hint of pumpkin flavor. However, since beetroot is not everyone's favorite and the overall taste of the sandwich is quite light, it could be a bit too bland for some customers.

For people who prefer a stronger taste to their food, I highly recommend the Organic Whole Wheat Fusilli Mixed Veggie Salad with Vegan Pesto Sauce. I could already smell the strong, fresh minty flavor of the pesto sauce as it was being put on the table. It is actually a very simple dish with organic greens, peppers, fusilli cooked al dente mixed with the home-made vegan pesto. Every ingredient is so fresh and the extra-virgin oil tastes quite smooth and helps to bring out the essence of the basil, walnut and garlic in the pesto sauce. We are told that since the opening of O Green, there have not been any customers who have ordered this dish and left without clearing their plate. After tasting it yourself, you won't be surprised.
