Came here for lunch with boyfriend as we were in the Quarry Bay area and planned to check out the new Artistree exhibit (worth a visit if you are in the area). This peaked my interest so we chose this as our lunch venue.

Place was packed with people during busy office hour lunch session. But majority of people were waiting for take away so we got a table very quickly. Majority of their seating is outdoors. I assume they are more geared for takeaway.

Much like the concept of La Rotesserie, this place also offers roast chicken. They have sets where you can choose quarter ($55) or half ($79) a chicken along with tomato rice or upgrade to fries ($3) or salad ($10) and a drink (price add ons depend on the choice of drink). Chicken comes in two flavors: rosemary and herbs with stuffing or peri peri marinade. During lunch hour they also have other set lunches such as pasta and chicken burgers. But we came here to try out the chicken. Menu is in English and Chinese. Pretty simple to understand.

Quarter Peri Peri Marinade Chicken ($55). This was lemon, garlic, ginger, paprika, chili herbs and spices. The chicken was a little spicy but not very spicy so those that can't eat spicy can handle this. It came with a peri peri sauce that wasn't spicy at all. The chicken was a bit dry.

Quarter Rosemary and Herbs Chicken with Stuffing ($55). The rosemary and herbs wasn't too strong on the chicken and again it was a bit dry. And I got dark meat and now white meat so it shouldn't be this dry. It came with a gravy sauce that was ok. It helped make the chicken less dry. The stuffing was quite nice. It came with tomato rice and it was basically ketchup fried rice. I like ketchup fried rice so this was totally ok for me.

We both ordered ice lemon tea so that was an extra $6 each. Over all the sets weren't expensive. A lot cheaper than La Rotesserie, the other popular take away roast chicken place. But La Rotesserie is way better as the chicken is not only moist but packed with flavor. The chicken here lacked in that aspect as well. You pay at the cashier. I noticed they are from the same restaurant group as The Grill Room when I went to pay. The chicken was fine but not exceptional and a bit dry. Service was efficient enough for how busy they were.  Price was not expensive. I would return again if in the area and wanted something inexpensive.
