I'm so glad that L'Eclair de Genie has opened up a small counter in Causeway Bay's CitySuper as I live much closer to this area. I bought four for take away as a friend was going to give me a private latte making class at her company office. Choosing a few that would work with coffee.
From left to right: salty caramel, passionfruit framboise, dark chocolate and yuzu. Price around $50 each. Last time I had tried the salty caramel and dark chocolate. So this time passionfruit framboise and yuzu is new. I oddly liked these even more than the sweet ones as they were tart. The passionfruit was tart with a sweet raspberry cream filling. The yuzu was super sour and for me, I liked it as I like sour things. Perhaps due to the fact these may have sat out a bit longer than the other branches, the eclairs weren't as crisp and bit more soft. Yet it still tasted pretty good.
