We sat at the sushi bar tonight for omakase. Satoru san was the one who served us today. He is a really friendly and "handsome" chef. He speaks good English, funny and nice. Alright haha back to their food and service. Food: basically their sashimi is fresh. Fatty tuna is really fatty lol sushi doesn't come with too much rice, which I like it. You know girls don't want to consume too much carbo at night time. However, even with lesser rice, Satoru San can still have a nice grip on the sushi, sus

Food: basically their sashimi is fresh. Fatty tuna is really fatty lol sushi doesn't come with too much rice, which I like it. You know girls don't want to consume too much carbo at night time. However, even with lesser rice, Satoru San can still have a nice grip on the sushi, sushi is firm and just the right size to put the whole into the mouth (mouthful).
I personally like the steamed fig with sesame sauce. It's really tasty and it's always my favourite dish. They also served u with teppanyaki beef. It's medium rare and I think the mushroom (on the top of the beef) tasted better though.
Service: Satoru San is a nice person and the staff there are pretty helpful. prompt service and nth much to pick at.
Price: it's around $1300 per person for omakase
Conclusion: I think the food is nice but not a big "wow". it's pretty similar to the restaurant opened by nishimura san (perhaps it's because Satoru San was his pupil before). Therefore, the food here isn't a big surprise to me. Plus it would be great if they could provide more different varieties of sushi and a few more sushi to serve for the omakase set. So overall, it's not excellent but not a bad one, as their omakase is a standard one.
