Arrived School Food around 12:50 on a Saturday and there were already a few people started to line up. We're the 5th in line, which was not too bad comparing to the crazy line up during dinner time.At first I thought School Food was a rather small restaurant, which would easily explain the long wait as it was full house (and people just started their meals). After the 20 mins wait, we were guided to the back room, which was completely EMPTY!We had ordered the Squid Ink Roll, Fried Chicken Salad

Arrived School Food around 12:50 on a Saturday and there were already a few people started to line up. We're the 5th in line, which was not too bad comparing to the crazy line up during dinner time.
At first I thought School Food was a rather small restaurant, which would easily explain the long wait as it was full house (and people just started their meals). After the 20 mins wait, we were guided to the back room, which was completely EMPTY!
We had ordered the Squid Ink Roll, Fried Chicken Salad and the Spicy Noodle with Rice Cake (forgot the actual name of the dish).
The Squid Ink Roll tasted pretty good, there’s squid, pickled veggie wrapped in squid ink rice. Squid was tender and matched well with the crunchiness of pickled veggie. However, presentation wise it’s like something I bought from a foodcourt. While they were neatly placed, there were at least 4 pieces of the rolls that were oddly shaped. I supposed those were the ends of the roll and they didn’t want them wasted.
By the Squid Roll was served, we still had not received any water, so when a waitress walked by, I asked politely for 2 glasses of water. The girl walked right passed our table without a glance.
. I had to raise my voice as if I was at a dim sum place to ask again, and she turned and nodded without saying anything. Wow.

Fried Chicken Salad was simply some spiced fried chicken strips on a bed of mixed greens with honey mustard-mayo. Nothing worth writing about.
When we ordered the Spicy Noodle with Rice Cake, the waitress had already advised us it’s very spicy so we already expected it to be quite spicy. We completely overestimated ourselves. The noodle was typical Korean instant noodle and the rice cake was.. well rice cake. The soup base had the typical sweetness of Korean chili sauce, but it is DARN SPICY. I would say it’s at least a 中辣 at 譚仔雲南米線. As much as I like spicy noodles, I could not enjoy this dish at all.
Overall, I doubt I would visit School Food again unless other friends insisted to eat here.
B- for food and C- for service.
