Italian food is undoubtedly the most popular westen cuisine here and there are always new ones popping up. It is refreshing to see new concepts and this one is probably  inspired by the successful global chain EATALY. We are impressed by the size and the fun concept of this self service restaurant with various counters preparing different made to order dishes.

You are given a charge card on arrival and upon ordering food at each counter, a pager will be handed to you and it will beep when the food is ready. If you are hungry you might end up with ten pagers on your table !

As a start, we ordered Caesar Salad and a piece of procuitto pizza. The Caesar salad came with very fresh lettuce and a home made authentic caesar dressing. The pizza slice (although already baked) is reheated but i was impressed by the dough which is really crispy and chewy. Finally we ordered 2 pastas from the pasta counter. The pasta are all homemade ( with 5-6 choices) and is prepared upon ordering. The Seafood spaghetti was made with fresh imported tomatoes and the seafood (squid & shrimp) is so fresh it felt like it just came from the sea. The meat ragu fettuchini also came with a tangy tomato sauce and fresh grounded beef inside. Both dishes are excellent and would be perfect if the pasta can be a bit more al dente. We ordered 2 hot tea at the end and the bill came to HK$380 for two.

Although this is a self service deli, do not expect to pay fast food prices. But it is a fun venue and food is on par with any good italian restaurant. This is where people can enjoy good pasta in a hurry or before movies. The location is perhaps a bit off and may not attract the right crowd. Hopefully the good food can attract them back.
