I've been to Budaoweng Hotpot several times because the place is clean, the food is good and the design is quite chic and spacious. When I made a phone reservation for 4 people, I was told that for dinner reservations, I could either book at 6:30pm or 8:30pm. I booked a table for 8:30pm but we still ended up having to wait for 20mins After finally getting our reserved table, we were ushered to the back area where they have open rooms for smaller groups. The open door rooms gave us more privacy
After finally getting our reserved table, we were ushered to the back area where they have open rooms for smaller groups. The open door rooms gave us more privacy but it was harder to get the attention of waiters/waitresses. Nevertheless, we had a very attentive waitress who was very funny and polite, and she got excited when we decided to order beer
We ordered the following:
* Chicken Soup in Huadiao Rice Wine (Soup Base)
* Beef Cubes
* Local Sliced Beef
* Chinese Lettuce
* Deep Fried Tofu Sheets
* Mushroom Balls
* Golden Mushroom
* Mountain Water Tofu
* Chinese Fish Bone & Brisket
* Cocktail Sausages
* Shrimp Dumplings Overall, the food was delicious, we were very full, and the bill came out to be $310 per person, including beer. Special mention goes to the Deep Fried Tofu sheets which you can dip in sweet and sour sauce. Yum!
If you don't mind waiting, then I think this is a nice venue to have hotpot and to eat with friends.
