22 Ships offers an eclectic menu of modern Spanish tapas created by Michelin Star Chef Jason Atherton of Pollen Street Social fame – a protégé of Ferran Adrià and Gordon Ramsay. All tapas served in a buzzy yet relaxed setting, and a dynamic list of wines, spirits and Spanish beers. The no reservation- no service charge tapas bar offers diners an opportunity to experience what Atherton describes as ‘the deformalizing of fine dining’.

On a rainy day, my friend and I managed to find two bar seats in this popular restaurant by Michelin chef Jason Atherton, who was previously the Executive chef for Gordon Ramsay's Maze in London. 22 ships is a great restaurant but it isn't for me. In certain parts of the restaurant it is very cramped and the person next to you is practically touching you. The food however was very good I enjoyed the scallop cerviche with the sweet tangy taste. Because the scallop is served uncooked it gives it a little bit of a fishy aftertaste. Finally I tasted 22 Ships' food. In essence, it's definitely worth a try but not tasty enough to keep me coming back. Rather, it made me miss all the tapas I had in Barcelona last year.
