半島酒店是香港現存歷史最悠久的酒店,位於酒店1樓的露台餐廳The Verandah自助餐堪稱全港最貴buffet,今年趁著生日終於有機會一試,自助晚餐成人價錢為每位$1,088,供應時間由下午六時至下午十時,可以不追不趕地食足4小時。作為一級歷史建築物,以意大利文藝復興及巴洛克復興風格建造,氣派非凡,不論內外都流露著優雅古典的歐陸風情。窗外景色正是太空館跟文化中心,白天採光充沛,入夜後把迷人璀燦的尖沙咀夜景盡收眼底。海鮮款式包括日式醬油鮑魚、帶子、蟹腳、海螺、龍蝦尾、大蝦、青口、煙鯖魚及煙三文魚。全晚冰鎮海鮮源源不絕地供應,refill 速度亦夠快,最受食客歡迎的要數啖啖肉的龍蝦尾和buffet中比較少見的日式醬油鮑魚。即切肉類有燒有骨肉眼和燒羊架配蒜味香草麵包糠,大約煮至Medium 五成熟,中心仍保持嫩紅色,保留肉汁。配上傳統英式約克郡布甸Yorkshire Pudding,外皮香脆,中間凹陷綿軟,更容易吸附肉汁。魚生刺身共有六款:帶子、油甘魚、甜蝦、吞拿魚、馬刀貝、三文魚,壽司則有燒蟹腳、玻璃蝦、水菜卷和燒三文魚四款。西式熱盤有墨西哥式焗粟米布甸、密糖芥末焗排骨、加勒比海式燴魚、美式煙燻烤雞腿、芝士煎黑毛豬扒配酸豆蕃茄醬、美式煙燻烤雞腿、焗布拉塔芝士配蕃茄汁及香草醬、黑松露烤根莖類蔬菜、上湯牛舌、蒜片炒秋葵及法邊豆配車厘茄。還有即炒煙肉芝士薯仔粉,熱辣辣傳來陣陣香氣。中式熱葷包含蟲草花雲耳蒸斑塊、黑胡椒醬炒蟶子、蘿蔔清湯牛腩和魚湯白蜆粉絲浸翠玉瓜。日韓熱食則有大蝦吉列配柚子蛋黃醬、日式麵豉燒比目魚、韓式牛仔骨和烤石頭魚肉乾配蛋黃醬及七味粉,個人尤其推介豐腴雪白的比目魚,配上微微甘甜的和風醬汁,魚乾質地煙煙韌韌甚具咬口。另有東南亞風味小吃- 越式蟹肉蝦多士,脆卜卜的多士上舖滿絲絲蟹肉,真材實料。咖喱款式包羅雞肉及菠菜咖喱、黃豆丸子咖喱、泰式咖喱海鮮及印度素菜咖喱,可以沾上印度烤餅、黑椒脆片或龍蝦片伴吃。湯品供應中西款式,包括薑味甘笋忌廉湯及紅棗椰子煲雞湯,前者入口濃滑,後者清甜而溫潤。手切二十四個月熟成西班牙大腿保持柔軟油潤,而且鹹度不高,與蜜瓜向來是最傳統的開胃前菜組合。前菜冷盤集合風乾火腿、沙樂美腸、瑞士腸、利安椰香腸、黑森林火腿、磨菇香腸、川味口水雞、涼拌皮蛋拍青瓜、泰式柚子沙律、芬蘭式紅草頭及蘋果沙律,鴨及雞肝慕絲配多士、希臘式羊肉卷配青瓜乳酪汁、牛仔肉薄片配吞拿魚汁、香辣帶子裙邊沙律、羅馬生菜配榛子、煙肉及脆包粒,意大利麵包條、酸種麵包、牛油軟麵包和法式麵包,可隨個人喜好自行混搭沙律款式。鴨及雞肝慕絲濃郁甘潤,口感猶如絲綢般細緻滑順,塗上薄脆多士,一軟一脆形成強烈對比。芝士拼盤有三款:布利芝士、法國昂貝爾藍紋芝士和外觀搶眼的米莫萊特。作為甜食控,當然是久仰大名為甜品而來,賣相精緻誘人,海量款式同時滿足視覺、味覺享受。是日供應的款式有伯爵茶巴斯克芝士蛋糕、開心果士多啤梨蛋糕、香梨焦糖慕絲、白朱古力芒果栗子蛋糕、熱情果朱古力撻、紅桑子朱古力泡芙、桂花燉乳酪、黑森林杯、忌廉芝士卷蛋、橙味瑪德蓮蛋糕、芝麻瑪德蓮、可麗露、蛋白脆餅、櫻花紅豆麻糬等等。另一邊則有提拉米蘇、葡撻、腐竹白果糖水和新鮮水果。Basque Cheesecake最大的特色當然是其焦黑的表面,口感濕潤綿密,以茶入饌,還可平衡芝士蛋糕的甜膩。可麗露表層是硬脆又厚實的褐色焦糖外殼,內部是半融化狀的蛋糕糊,散發著雲尼拿味和微微酒香。自助餐亦可趁機一嚐半島品牌的手工朱古力,另有椰子酒朱古力、果仁乾果黑白朱古力、朱古力棒棒、朱古力忌廉布甸、林茲曲奇和薑包曲奇。我自己全場最愛則是以金箔點綴的朱古力忌廉布甸,鏡面晶瑩剔透,入口細滑,深醇濃郁的可可韻味略帶苦澀,純度夠高。中途店員會奉上每人一杯楊枝甘露,混合芒果、柚子果肉,酸甜清新。訂位時表明慶祝生日,就會送上兩小件生日蛋糕,是日款式為檸檬芝士蛋糕,還會點上蠟燭,讓節日添上滿滿儀式感。雪糕有三款口味:雲呢拿、朱古力和紅莓雪芭。自助晚餐每人附有一杯餐飲,額外加錢亦可無限暢飲精選紅白酒、啤酒或香檳等等。 continue reading
