This review is specifically of the tofu (vegetarian) bahn mi. I ordered it to go, and service was quick and polite. While I can't speak to the other bahn mi, I found the tofu bahn mi to be very average. The bread was crusty and toasted, which I liked very much. I have passed the place so many times and decided I must visit even though I have been very disappointed with the Vietnamese food in Hong Kong. Wow, was I surprised? 路經上環看到有一家新開的越式法包店…之前在北包炮台山附近看到有一間已經很想下決心…真的衝出渡船角去尋找其他好吃的….之前吃過中環斜路的一間…既然撞見有新開的…兩個人share一份…不妨一試…要試真功夫…當然要選classic啦~叫了一個餐…可以選飲品或者餐湯…餐湯有雜菜和洋蔥兩款…就選了雜菜湯…法包等了一會兒就有…拿上手好像不怎麼熱的…中間打開…材料很豐富…有點迫爆的感覺….材料除了青瓜絲…蘿蔔絲…札肉之後…還有一些應該是煙火腿的東西…飽裡面還塗了一些橙色的醬…大啖的咬下去…法包不脆…有點靭…要用點力才咬得開…這是越式法包很重要的一環…要夠脆…如果一個人吃掉整條的話牙骹真的會很酸軟…裡面的材料沒大太的驚喜…沒有鹹豬手肉…札肉的味道又不怎麼突出…吃起上來好像普通的什錦煙火腿法包配大量蔬菜絲…吃罷確實很難令人留下深刻的印象…而跟餐的雜菜湯是正常貨色…對我來說就好像茶餐廳喝到的熱檸水…反正在哪裡喝的都差不多…..總之整體就沒什麼太差的地方但又說不出有什麼好...結果吃過這東西的記憶很容易就會被遺忘了...所以還是要記下來咯~~~

經過上環文咸東街做O野,見差不多食LUCH,咪周圍搵下有無D健康而飽肚既O野食攞,行行下見到一間排哂人龍既越南名三文治店,當然還我本息,試下好無未先,我叫左一份香芧雞加洋蔥湯套餐,當第一口食個飽時,感覺好暖,因試過係香港其他地方食越南飽,就算堂食都冬家,入口後發覺D材料好新鮮,而D雞唔會太油膩,雖然味道唔太濃,可能D材料夠新鮮加埋唔太濃既雞,味道剛剛好,個洋蔥湯飲完後唔需要立即想飲水,雖然有香料但都叫清清淡淡,咁咪叫健康攞,加上呢間既越南飽好正宗,在加拿大生活時經常去食越南野,因多越南人開,自己最鍾意食越南飽,可惜返到香港幾年都搵唔返O個種味道,哈點知比我搵到BUN ME,下次到上環做野,一定會忍唔住入去買返個飽食

21-1-2010上次食過 Sweet Secrets 隔嚟的越南法包覺得好正 (http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=2048849), 從南瓜食評得知上環都開了一間同類食店, 呢日 lunch 過嚟試試. 行到過嚟先知原來呢度主力做外賣生意, 堂食雖然有 bar 檯, 但櫈都無張坐吓實在有 d 難度, 只好死死氣買完返公司食, 結果返到去已凍了不少 早知「罰企」一陣算了, stupid me! 買了 combo ($38), 除 classic baguette 以外仲有 soup of the day:- classic baguette 要了「走辣」, 材料就有扎肉, 唔知乜嘢 cold cut (煙燻肉?), pâté (係鴨肝肉醬?), 漬紅蘿蔔絲, 青瓜, 洋蔥, 芫茜 etc. 由於買完隔得太耐先食, 包身已攤凍得七七八八, 但咬落外層又無「變韌」的感覺, 反而同內一樣帶點軟熟, 莫非其實無烘過? 配料款式夠晒多, 但份量較少, 味道亦一般 -- pâté 算較印象深刻,

已有一段時間沒去過越式法包店,在上環文咸東街新開了一間"Bun Me".早上八點已開始營業.早餐上有法包,但份量比較少,不如來個香茅牛肉三文治當早餐,其實,對一個男生來說,份量也不算太多.材料也是那些如莧茜,蘿蔔絲,洋荵絲,青瓜絲等等,來夾著香茅牛肉片.法包入口脆,內裏軟糯.蔬菜酸酸甜甜,而牛肉片香料味重.賣$33一個,在上環區也是差不多價錢.在嘉咸街上亦有一間賣法式三文治的小店,下次就去試這一間.
