Walked past and the octopus tentacles looked good so decided to get some.It was really hard trying to get near the counter to order because the stupid pedestrian path was narrow and there were so many people walking past.I wanted to get the pork trotters in sweet ginger sauce but it would be hard to find a spot nearby to eat it without the temptation to throw it in someones face because they kept walking into you.Anyway I just got the Octopus tentacles and battled past people to a spot where I could eat it.The octopus tentacles were quite good because they were tender and springy but there was still some endoskeleton which you had to spit out.I would rate them as good but not as good as Fei Jeh because those ones are much tender and tastier.The English name of this place is interesting and I wonder how they came up with the name MAJI YUMMY continue reading

<那些年的鹵大墨魚 牛下真美味> 記得十幾廿年前已在當年未拆的牛頭角下村報紙檔幫趁老闆娘買鹵大墨魚,之前知佢在荃灣重開也有嚐過,但網上睇原來近排好像也執了。近半年佢地終於重返牛頭角道再戰,租了燒臘鋪外的小位置,感覺就有像十年前在牛下的小車仔檔一樣。老闆娘保養得宜無咩變過,但當然認不得那年常幫趁的小伙子(肥咗十倍無人認得)。只見佢密密手在穿鹵味,大墨魚一串$9﹐是當年的風味,彈牙有嚼勁,芥辣是調味的重點,又爽又脆,十分美味,一個人唔食兩串唔夠喉。會繼續支持,希望多尐九龍灣牛頭角的舊朋友發現再來幫趁啦! continue reading

牛下當年清拆留下不少故事或美好回憶, 其中一個肯定與這店有關. 分別在荃灣和旺角發揚光大,但一定要在原區開一間才不會遺憾.店舖寄居在燒臘店的前端, 不是看過報導, 會以為是同一家.點了豬頭肉一串, 切得很大件, 爽口郤不會油膩,  調料是偏咸的, 跟現時其他店舖不同, 更愛他們依然用竹棒抺上調味醬料, 很有風味. 其實我也很愛他們的生腸, 洗得很清潔, 依然留有一股內臟味道, 不像其他的店, 為求生腸爽口把食物浸在冷水良久, 如不加醬汁的話,就如吃輪胎一般.牛下還有許多精彩的小店, 希望它們一一重生! continue reading
