We always love to try out new restaurant, and it became a more reasonablie excuse for my hubby's b day The bread came soon after we seated, isn't that cute?One of our favourite, very cute dish.This was beyond excellent.The steak was juicy.Dan dan dan dan... 一個箭步同男神合照 !開飯網跟澳洲旅遊局合作的推廣 : 有澳洲特色的美酒佳餚外,『甜蜜澳洲』男主角、廚藝了得的藝人徐肇平(Shaopin Tsui) 會出席活動,與大家分享在澳洲拍攝微電影時的有趣經歷。先來個脆炸薯圈條脆皮黑毛豬肉釀溏心蛋, 豬肉加上澳洲特有的香草 , 別有風味 ! 女伴選的煮魷魚, 泰式唔辣, 清清地不過不失, 煮得剛剛好唔韌小砧板上的法包 , 伴碟的小芽菜, 不吃的, 有趣, 連泥上試酒部分開始了, 香港葡萄酒協會培訓總監Chris主持, 夠晒權威 !男神就在對面檯第一枝, Chardonnay 2008, 微黃帶金再來, 塞蜜蓉, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc比較順喉, 顏色較淺, 餘韻有五秒左右從來少飲的我扮下專家先!紅酒來了, 2005 的Shiraz, medium body, 有cherry, date, plum 的果香Cannelonni, 中間有菠菜、ricotta cheese義大利鄉村軟酪, 松子仁,番茄酸甜適中, ricotta cheese配菠菜是個好選擇,黑毛豬+和牛肉丸, 配orzo米飯orzo米比較少見, 有些黏牙, 吃不慣;徐肇平落手造個 上等人版: 腸仔菠蘿,係 'drunken grape' = 羊芝士+葡萄 , 羊芝士加烤過的碧根果仁碎, 葡萄浸威士忌或紅酒過夜羊芝士和葡萄很夾味, 果仁碎令芝士更香濃, 葡萄郤吃不出酒味?!檸檬custard 士多啤梨千層, 檸檬味鮮甜 , 醒胃消滯 , 領我回味無窮 !朱古力brownie 朱古力味勁濃郁 , 就像整塊朱古力給你吃 , 上面的忌廉和雪糕剛好中和了 , 又恰到好處! 與男廚神合照啊 ! 大家搶著排隊原來他的新cookbook同日出版了在澳洲拍攝時, 糖妺叫他Shaopin, 今天大家叫他Shao 有D 法國feel 哩 ! continue reading

和朋友一起找個地方聚腳,落雨天時!地方尚算有點難找。可是一進餐廳有種和諧平靜感覺,桌與桌之間有適當的空間。坐下桌上有畫紙可隨意發揮,牆壁上亦有不少客人留下語句。整體感覺舒服自在,食物亦有帶著驚喜連連。 continue reading

在中環午飯的選擇尤其多,只要預算有鬆動,絕對不乏選擇。這天和同事又來到了The Bellbrook,之前有段日子廚師調味相當「重手」,所以我也有點退卻。這天幸而水準回勇,也絕對值得推介一下。If you have a slight wide budget for lunch, there are plenty of choice for you to choose in Central. I returned to The Bellbrook this day with a group of colleagues. The quality got slightly deteriorated in the past which made me a bit hesitated to make the booking. However, it’s far better than before and worth to recommend to you.前菜吞拿魚沙律,酸胃之選,酸酸甜甜的沙律醋汁,洋葱味甚濃,用上已熟的吞拿魚肉,口感有點韌。另有蕃茄沙律作選擇,會是更健康之選。For starter, tuna salad would be a refreshing choice. The black vinegar created a sweet and sour flavour. The onion flavour was slightly too strong. There is another healthy salad choice, tomato salad.同場加了一道餐廳著名菜式,炸旋風薯仔配巴馬臣芝士。整個旋風薯仔造型吸引,也相當有魅力,巴馬臣芝士刨絲灑在薯片上,慢慢溶掉,邪悪得不得了。We also ordered the signature dish, potato twist with Parmesan cheese. It had an very tempting presentation with Parmesan cheese sparkling on the chips and melting slowly. So devil and tempting!!主菜,香煎平目魚配焗新薯,調味適中,魚煎得剛好熟,十分香滑,而且份量十足,差點便吃不下香口的薯仔了。Pan seared sole fillet. Seasoning was just perfect and the fish is also cooked just right with a smooth and melt-in-your-mouth texture. Quite a big portion while we almost couldn’t finish the potato on the side.燒雞配燉扁豆及香草。燒雞的肉汁豐富,也充滿了香草的味道,燉扁豆煮得非常軟稔,十分入味。Roasted chicken with braised lentils and native herbs. The chicken was so juicy with the flavour of herbs. The braised lentils was so tender as well.意粉控的午餐當然少不了一道意粉,這次的是蕃茄汁長通粉。微辣的蕃茄汁,煮得微硬的長通粉,剛剛好的味道,是美味的配搭。How would a pasta lover miss a course of pasta for lunch? This time we had penne arabiatta. Little spicy tomato sauce pairing with the penne which was cooked al dente. What a delicious combination.午餐還有是日甜品或是餐廳自家制的雪糕,但這天大家都食不了,只好放棄。不過,一定會再來。Dessert of the day or homemade ice cream followed with the set lunch, but we were so full that we couldn’t take it. 中上環一帶太多食肆,幾乎每日都可以有新選擇,因為要去ZAI FE,所以也就在附近選了這間餐廳這餐廳太有趣,枱面有一小罐crayon就是給你周圍畫,寫上「到此一遊」「Nicole & Peter」「Love you Ann」,表白牆,早一陣子,香港也出現過這樣大型的表白地方,只是大家沒有用來示愛,而是將自己對政府、中央的訴求寫出來(說好了食飯不談政治,似乎是戒不了的壞習慣)介紹一下menu吧! weekday lunch set,可以選two courses or three courses,選擇不多,也因為說好了去飲咖啡,所以我們都選two courses啦落單後,就是等的份兒店員捧來了一個「display」,起初還以為什麼小裝置,原來是像木頭的盤子,載住一個麥味大麵包,麥味好香,也是真的! 哈哈,遠看就似一個大洋蔥嘛! 旁邊還有載牛油的小杯子,看上來就是一個小盆栽,有鹽牛油上一堆黑色的..是泥土嗎? 好好玩! 但味道就好一般,自己整甜品也一直都只用無鹽牛油,食唔慣...starting bite由today soup開始,這是我最愛的carrot soup(太多最愛啦)的而且確,這湯的質感最合我心意,不會稀巴巴的,而且好滑好啦! 到bigger bite,今次選了grilled hanger steak & mushroom barley risottogrilled hanger steak(medium),不過這似是medium rare,都好吃! 薯條,看起來有點頹,哈哈,放得有點頹,軟軟的炸薯條,味道也不錯! 最後就是mushroom barley risotto,好大碟好多cheese,蘑菇都好多,值得一提的是,這個意大利米和平常的有點不一樣,竟然是口感煙韌的薏米! 好有驚喜,粒粒都是灌足湯,「圓到好似個波咁」這樣的「risotto」爽口兼有咬口,每粒都可以咀嚼好耐,而且感覺好健康(其實好飽)非常滿足的lunch,下次也可以再來! continue reading
