此行係由喬寶寶推介最傳統印度菜味道,朋友跟我都同樣好想知道到底傳統味道係如何的呢?抱著期待又緊張既心情來到,但使我極度失望啊,有點貨不對版既感覺。餸菜實體跟 menu 照片完全係南轅北徹,兩樣野來的,部份菜色既賣相、顏色、煮法、食材都有點不同。見 openrice 好評如潮,強烈好奇心驅使下續編續編食評望一望 ﹗總共有 49 編食評,當中 31 編大讚好味,不過只有幾編係資深食家撰寫,其他全部都係新進食家或非會員,非常有做馬之嫌,討厭 ﹗Menu 好厚下,有好多菜色選擇,發現全間餐廳都無牛豬供應喎。Openrice 食評稱可以揀大中小辣,但落 order 時侍應哥哥完全無問過我地要幾辣。今晚出席既朋友仔只有一個跟我一樣食得辣,所以點菜辣度只可以是一般程度呢。食客不太多,所以環境尚可,寧靜不嘈吵,奇怪地播 disco 音樂就有點格格不入。經過廚房見到師傅們全部都係印藉男人呢,印度傳統好似女人係唔可以外出工作的。印度啤酒,從未飲過,所以叫支試試啦。味道跟香港啤酒大同小異,無什麼分別。印度沙律,朋友仔們完全掂都唔掂。無緊要,我勁肚餓唔會浪費,唔加醬食原味青瓜洋蔥生菜甘筍,清清味蕾。薄脆,咸咸地有點乾蔥,唔係太脆,無咩等別。印式雜錦燒烤,我打從心底以為黎錯左架 ﹗跟張相係 totally 兩樣野,全碟除左 4 舊唔似魚既橙色炸魚外,其他都係薯仔、青椒,仲要用厚厚麵粉皮包住炸。食落除左油膩外,都係油膩,食唔出其他味道。雜菜咖哩角,貨不對版的咖哩角,雖然 menu 上照片只作參考啫,但無可能差咁遠掛。傳聞中好好食既咖哩角?真係匪夷所思呀 ﹗可以揀羊肉的,朋友們商議後決定雜,雜菜咪即係食齋?外皮又厚又粉,完全不是相中咖哩角 ﹗我唔食到有什麼餡料、什麼雜菜,大部份都係薯仔。就連咖哩味我亦係唔多食到,非常淡口咖哩味又唔香又唔辣,應該合味道咖哩杯麵或超群即食咖哩角都比佢還好食 ﹗鐵板印式烤大蝦,依個更離譜 ﹗雖然上檯時好有氣勢著晒火,熱力迫人 ﹗但大蝦應該有殼變無殼,烤到有點燋黑,蝦肉微微爽彈帶少辣及淡淡蝦味,免強合格唔難食 ﹗賣相就不敢恭維,其實青瓜好食過大蝦,鐵板烘到青瓜暖暖地,爽脆多汁。芝士菠菜,依碟對我黎講係全晚最恐怖既一道菜,近乎菠菜蓉。淺嚐一口,質感腍劈劈又滑潺潺,好可怕呀 ﹗放棄放棄。勁辣咖哩羊,menu 上面真係印住勁辣架喎 ﹗朋友們好驚會太辣,不過我堅持 order 黎試試啦 ﹗辣度只屬中辣,咖哩味道暗沉而單調,好 dry 好寡,辣而不香,而且辣味好快消散。細細幾舊羊肉碎,真係唔講唔知道食緊羊囉 ﹗一試無妨,試過就算喇。牛油烤餅,芝士烤餅兩款同樣除左烤得香口又熱辣辣外就無其他特別之處,可能配咖哩會更好食,中間空心用黎夾肉食都可能更好。牛油烤餅,無牛油味,芝士烤餅無芝士味,唔知食緊什麼,滴汗 ﹗印度鐵板烤雞,全為雞髀肉,終於有道菜比較正常喇,一般水平,不乾不鞋,無驚喜,不過起碼穩陣唔難食,淡淡香料味道。蕃茄咖哩雞,最好食都係依個喇,老懷安慰 ﹗茄味濃郁,當然只不過係罐頭茄膏,泛著微弱咖哩味,酸酸甜甜夠開胃,雞肉滑而濕潤,唔錯。椰汁咖哩魚塊,不辣而散發著非常淡淡咖哩味道,隱約食到少少椰汁香氣。魚塊乾硬鞋,仲有點點腥味,唉 ﹗菜色既烹調及處理真係好鬼印度 feel,可能真係太過傳統又太過正宗,所以味淡而單調掛,唔太適合香港人口味 ﹗最好食係蕃茄咖哩雞,最恐怖係芝士菠菜,其他都麻麻地。尋找真正印度味道第一回失敗,有朋友介妱同一幢大廈 7 樓,擇日再黎過 ﹗Mesala Tea,傳說中既印度拉茶,但無員工表演呢。淡淡既茶香帶少少淡奶味道,飲得出有印度香料味,係咪肉桂呢?我唔加糖,幾喜歡依種純天然香氣。埋單有 8 折,4 個人試左咁多菜色都只係每人 2 百幾蚊,食物味道同質數真係要改善一下,服務都滿意。朋友仔食飽打機,yeah ﹗住天水圍的印度少女,佢都係同鄉喎,有無電視框呀?哈哈哈。 continue reading

My friends and I have spent the last three or four years going to the Taj Mahal Club every time we're at Chung King or hankering for some Indian food. The manager Mohammad has always ensured that we were served speedily. The food is always exceptional, the set dinner is well worth the money. They have an excellent tandoor, the popadum is seasoned with a great balance of salt, pepper, and red onion. The selection of curries have always left us extremely satisfied. Their vindaloo is spicy and hot, and their butter chicken is smooth. I highly recommend this restaurant, it's tucked above the main level of the shopping mall and a bit small but it's a hidden gem. continue reading

第一次去重慶大廈食咖哩, 食物就相當好  老闆娘仲好好人 唔講唔知佢黎左四十年 仔女都係係到大 佢仲好nice介紹有咩食 環境好靜好坐 有折添 個椰汁咖哩雞佢話算唔辣 但係食落係後面辣番上黎 呀 個老闆娘介紹個mango飲品 佢話好多香港人好中意 飲落好似楊枝甘露重yogurt味 好食👍 continue reading
