Wanted to have to local traditional food the otherday in central, walked pass Loyal Dining(which seems more decent comparing to the other local restaurants in the area), and decided to give it a try! Going through the menu, my family have ordered the roasted pegion (which they say it was awesome and juicy), and I have ordered the beefsteak coated with pastry(which is quite rare to find it these days). 上星期同朋友食完晚飯,仲想食D特色甜品,佢話不如去來佬,估唔到咁有驚喜!諗住港式餐廳應該得紅豆沙、西米露嘅傳統甜品,但竟然俾我食到經典香蕉船,仲要係有把遮仔同多Cream。依款甜品細個同屋企人鋸完扒一定會食,咁先算係full meal,原來來佬都仲有~好滿足!下次要同埋屋企人嚟先得!!

前幾日同朋友去咗中環行街,行完再搵個地方食下野傾下計,搵下搵下就決定去充滿港式懷舊風情嘅來佬餐館啦~一坐低見到多咗個懷舊鐵板餐MENU,心郁郁之下都係忍唔住叫咗個來佬雜扒,雜扒餐有齊晒豬扒、牛柳、燒春雞同煎菠蘿,賣相吸引之餘又非常足料,淋醬汁嗰時陣香味已經令我哋流晒口水!食落果然無令我哋失望,啲扒肉質細嫩又惹味,而菠蘿亦煎得好香甜,唔洗20分鐘,我地哋清咗個雜扒餐 XD!!!出街食飯甜品永遠不能少,於是我哋再點咗個原味梳乎厘,一出黎見到整得咁靚就知唔簡單,真係好呀!

晚上在中環走着,走到之前有幫襯過的餐廳,認為可以再去,所以便進內尋找可吃的晚餐了。當中有一個2人餐,有湯有點心又有甜品,所以便選了。但到結賬時才知道所標的價錢是每一個人的價格,而非套餐的總價!為何會這樣呢?真是有點不知所以。然而食物質素如何呢?餐湯是椰菜忌廉,雖然湯料不少,但略為咸了一點。前菜是點心拼盤,包括有燒賣、蝦餃及素菜餃。味道不錯,而且是從蒸籠拿出來的,感覺不錯。但這個釀雞翼就真的令人失望了,因為所釀的是素翅及蘿蔔,令到味道帶有一點酸。而另一個炒牛河也有點強差人意,雖然是有帶點甜的瑞士汁,但甜味就略為多了一點。最後的甜品:梳乎里就不過不失,很鬆軟,入口即溶,算是不錯。不過因為結賬時的驚人發現,要付出比預期也一倍的價格,食物的質素與價錢真的有點不附!

This time round, I ordered the Boneless Hainan Chicken Rice and it did not disappoint me at all!

The chicken meat was absolutely flavoursome and tender. It also came with three typical sauces, namely, the chili sauce, the thick dark soy sauce and ginger puree. Last but not least, one may think the soul of hainan chicken is with the chicken, but in my opinion, what makes a perfect hainan chicken rice is the steamed rice itself, and a good rice served with the hainan chicken is usually infused with chicken oil, pandan leaves and chicken stock.

Would highly also recommend the Soy Sauce Chicken Wings!

中環大把好嘢食,今日就去左充滿港式懷舊風情嘅來佬餐廳。一入到去已經好滿意佢嘅帶點懷舊的殖民式裝橫,店內情調高雅,侍應們西裝筆挺,令我宛如置身於六七十年代呢!黑牛已經唔係好多餐廳可以飲倒嫁喇。朱古力雪糕加上可口可樂真係好過癮。讚吖!法式焗田螺又係一傑作,未食已被焗得超香的蒜蓉味吸引,金黃色的薯蓉雖是伴菜,但充滿蒜蓉的香味,一淡一享受。主菜田螺大大隻,除了醉人嘅蒜蓉味外,更有田螺的鮮味,完全是味蕾的享受,色香味俱全。我們吃得連殻內的田螺汁也一飲而盡。身為雞翼大王,來佬雞翼又豈可錯過。一碟六隻,每隻都沾滿了來佬汁。咸甜味相相宜,而旦每口均是鮮雞翼夾着以豉油為主的汁,令我一隻接一隻,津津有味。脆皮乳鴿炸得香脆美味,每一口均是享受。選用的乳鴿大大一隻,特別嫩口,十分惹味,基本上不用點喼汁或椒鹽已經夠味。配上兒時最愛零食之一蝦片,真係唔係街邊燒腩店可以搵倒呢!雖然來佬餐廳的價錢難以跟茶餐廳比較,但水準絕對是高級餐廳的質素,加上雅緻嘅環境,於中環而言夠抵了。

The interior is very retro style, with booth style seating as well as regular tables. It wasn't too busy so I opted for a booth table for more privacy. There's a staircase going upstairs... guessing there's more seating on other levels, it seems like a huge space . The menu has a good selection of both Western, Chinese, Dim Sum and Southeast Asian dishes, something to please all tastes.
The Chinese daily soup was really really yummy!
today's soup was watercress with pork and some beans. I couldn't help but to finish it up fast. The Hainan Chicken was extremely tender and easy to eat, no bones
not too oily, and served with some chili sauce, sweet soy sauce and ginger garlic sauce. The rice was fragrant and went well together. I have tried minced pigeon before, but never deep fried ... The flavour is a cross between duck and chicken , very crispy and crunchy. On the side they served some salt and soy sauce, as well as some prawn crackers.. No need for any utensils, just prepare to get messy
Chicken wings are my all time favorite food, and although I'm used to the crispy type, this was an unexpected surprise. The wings seemed to be simmered for a long time, so the meat is very juicy. The sauce is a sweet soy sauce, I've been told this is a classic recipe for old HK style cafes dating back to the 1960's. The service was excellent, and all the waiters seemed friendly and spoke good English. The pricing is very reasonable for Central area. While I wasn't in the mood for a drink, it appears they do serve some draft beer and wine... maybe next time


Also, their dessert menu includes Baked Alaska and Banana Split
just an excuse to come back ..........

作為位處中環的高檔版豉油西餐廳,都知道消費有返咁上下,所以即使想試遲遲都的唔起心肝,直至有日知道呢度有威靈頓牛扒食(之前睇過master chef好恨試),興致又返來了。食嘢之前先食下環境,呢度裝修得好雅致,無論枱櫈掛牆燈,都好有懷舊味道,門口仲有隻七、八十年代垃圾蟲企係度。餐牌方面好多元化,唔單止有扒類、燒乳鴿、焗田螺、粉麵飯,仲有中式點心添(晚市都有)。咁一場來到梗係食 威靈頓牛扒,雖然食完之後先知唔係正宗做法,但我已經好滿意。正宗的係牛柳外層係蘑菇醬同煙肉,然後包上酥皮焗,呢度,只有酥皮同牛柳,不過酥皮焗得金黃鬆化,牛柳雖然厚,但一d都唔韌,相反仲好嫩滑有肉香,調味亦做得好好,顯得淋係旁邊的黑椒汁有點多餘。 來佬汁炒牛河($98)都係必點菜式,來佬汁即係甜甜的瑞士汁,同太平館大同小異,材料有嫩滑牛肉同爽口杏鮑菇,碟底難得冇多餘油分,質素同樣高。值得去指數:

威靈頓牛扒,雖然食完之後先知唔係正宗做法,但我已經好滿意。正宗的係牛柳外層係蘑菇醬同煙肉,然後包上酥皮焗,呢度,只有酥皮同牛柳,不過酥皮焗得金黃鬆化,牛柳雖然厚,但一d都唔韌,相反仲好嫩滑有肉香,調味亦做得好好,顯得淋係旁邊的黑椒汁有點多餘。
來佬汁炒牛河($98)都係必點菜式,來佬汁即係甜甜的瑞士汁,同太平館大同小異,材料有嫩滑牛肉同爽口杏鮑菇,碟底難得冇多餘油分,質素同樣高。 值得去指數:

同同事食散水飯,嚟openrice找到這間評分唔錯便試試。 一入門口見到一個似以前“垃圾蟲”的人身般大figure, 內裡燈光有點昏暗,有卡位&普通2,4,6人枱。侍應生很好人安排卡位給我們,他放下餐牌便離開,我們點了羅宋湯,法式焗田螺,鵝肝充闊佬飯,香煎海鱸配野菌燴飯。他們當中有數位比較年輕的侍應生,但他們負責傳餐/收餐而不落單的。食物先送來湯,味道一般。田螺不錯,比平常同級餐廳大,薯蓉夠creamy,唔太膩。再送來主菜,同事的鵝肝飯味道大概還好,因為他對飲食不太講究;至於我的海鱸飯就非常出色,魚肉質夠實,配了帶點甜味的汁,真係有驚喜,飯都做到意大利飯的帶點“生米“口感,非常好!平時要叫埋甜品至夠喉,今次真係食唔落,只有叫了餐飲,海底椰蘆薈蜜桃茶及奶茶。此款蜜桃茶當然是甜甜的,不過甜度適中,再加上有蘆薈粒,頗清新的感覺!可能當晚係平曰,餐廳不太滿座。
